We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding at The Warrumbungles. After booking I read some reviews and started to worry as there were some not very favourable ones. However after staying there, I don't have a bad word to say about it. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Free movies and Austar channels. Tea and coffee,... More

Wow. I booked this place online and it looked good and sounded nice given that it was apparently renovated only 5 years ago. We stay at this motel on our way from Victoria to Queensland. On arrival at the motel I entered the reception area where there was a girl behind the counter. I assume that she was an employee... More

From the moment this guest arrived, nothing was right. Our staff did everything they could to make their stay more comfortable and we thought that they were happy by the end of it so we were surprised at the outcome of this review. It's irrelevant that kookaburras were even mentioned in this because generally people like to hear and see... More

We stayed in the 3 bedroom house for 1 night which was great for us with a family of 6. With a full kitchen including a proper fridge freezer and a separate living area, it meant that we could put the kids to bed and still watch tv, etc without disturbing them and cook our own dinner and breakfast. The... More

Looking on this website, I noticed a review that only said the worst about this motel, and almost made change my choice of motel, how glad am I that I did not listen to what they had to say. I stayed in one of the motels executive rooms and found that the rooms were well maintained, clean, and were well... More

I recently arrived in Coonabarabran late at night with 2 other adults and 5 kids on our way back from QLD. We were all tired after a long day driving and just wanted somewhere cheap to stay. The hosts did us a great deal on a 3 bedroom house and they were very helpful.

We booked this hotel through check-in and was told our booking was in "a refurbished executive suite - claiming newest rooms in Coonabarabran". How wrong was this. We walked into the room (smelling like a public toilet), killed the cockroaches and questioned about the spa room that we had were told about. No spa rooms. The bathroom was full of... More

Motel with ground floor units 1 mile north of the town centre. Friendly welcome from owners. Efficient on-line reservations from an informative website. Some overnight road noise from the nearby Highway but not too obtrusive.Pleasant, well-kept tree-lined grounds with plentiful bird life. We had a deluxe room which was spacious and well-equipped with a newly built, excellent shower room/toilet. Breakfast(included... More

We were driving from Melbourne to Byron Bay and stopped at Coonabarabran which is slightly over half way. We had looked at the web site for the Country Comfort and it seemed like a great country hotel - one of the reviews on the site described it as National Lampoons in the country. We arrived, checked in at the dutch... More
