What an oasis. Stunningly set at the end of Skinners Shoot Road, far enough, but not too far from the magic that is Byron Bay. Angela and Denis looked after us very well and the accommodation is beautifully appointed and of a very high standard. We will return and stay longer next time.

Cape Byron Retreat is peaceful, beautiful and scenic. The facilities are all as promised, and everything is clean, new and maintained at a really high standard. The teppanyaki barbeque makes cooking your own meals easy and delicious; yet it is only minutes drive from the centre of Byron for when you want to eat out and swim. The hosts, Angela... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the Easter long weekend while we went to Bluesfest, we booked at the last minute and we were hoping to get anything in byron by that stage! This place was beautiful though and we enjoyed the room, the views to mt Warning, the serenity and the pool... It was very quiet, and I... More

Advised to stay outside of Byron town, we chose Cape Byron Retreat for our annual reunion with our mates from across the Tasman.(You have to be careful with these Kiwis, they can be very particular!). We booked the small and the large studio which gave us best of both worlds - privacy and togetherness. Both studios are lovely, the environment... More

Cape Byron Retreat is a wonderful place to escape the busy Byron Bay main street, but still be close enough to enjoy all that it has to offer. Angela is a friendly and accomodating host who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and it had everything we... More

Angela and Des are very welcoming hosts but it was the fantastic bed and resident peacock that stole the show. The location is very peaceful and the garden is beautiful. Highly recommended.

If you have ever had the privilege of visiting Byron Bay, the most eastern tip of Australia, to watch whales migrating, and see the sun rise first over this continent, then you'll have understood what it means to come here. Cape Byron Retreat is nestled in Skinners Shoot overlooking Mt. Warning with and extensive rural setting. Our hosts, Denis and... More

My partner and I were looking for a quick quiet getaway for the long weekend and this turned out to be the perfect choice. Only a couple of minutes from the main strip of Byron and you will think you're hours away from anything. We stayed in the Deluxe Studio which is set away from the other cottage rooms so... More

Imagine driving along a wooded , winding road that opens into a quiet sunlight valley! This is where Cape Byron retreat is hidden. Once there you will be greeted by Angela and Denis. Two hosts that couldn't be more accommodating. They are there if you need them, but respectful of privacy too! We stayed in the family accommodation, a delightful... More

The retreat was situated in a very beautiful location far from the maddening crowds. The rooms were clean and well fitted. Denis and Angel are extremely friendly hosts. Woodward Family
