The room was ok, lots of space and good aircon, but old and some things needed repair but otherwise not too bad. hosts were very nice, very chatty at breakfast, simple breakfast all that is needed. short walk from centre of Byron Bay.

Fab location, easy walk into town or to the beach. Friendly and helpful owners (thank you for the loan of the board!). Great relaxed breakfasts which really set you up for the day. Facilities all clean and tidy with everything you need. Superb to hear the surf and the kookaburras. Who needs a swimming pool when the ocean's so close.

A great friendly place, we arrived late and John sorted everything out for us, stayed 1st night next door with Leanne which is lovely and came to Baystay for excellent breakfast. We had a four night stay here and really enjoyed it. The return of the original owners seems to have got sorted a couple of the issues mentioned elsewhere. (particularly the spa room windows) The lovely beach is under ten minutes and town a similar stroll. The beauty of this is the accesibility of everything twinned with peace and quiet.... More
