I like to stay at B&B's or guesthouses when travelling in regional areas on business and chose Ballina Manor as an alternative to some ordinary motel accommodation in the area. It is a lovely property - comfortable and welcoming. However, when I left I wondered if they are pitching the property in the right way The extra cost of breakfast... More

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and agree with most of them; a very pleasant stay for us, mid week, in May. The room was on the ground floor facing the carpark/main road and unfortunately people were standing outside our balcony door and smoking early in the morning and talking loudly as they loaded there cars. This is... More

We stayed in this hotel for the Byron Bay Blues Festival. The room was lovely. Everyone working there was very friendly, I would definitely recommend staying here. The breakfast was very nice. The location was not near the festival, it was a long bus ride. (Not the fault of the hotel, just a note if others are planning to attend... More

Beautiful place! Quick and easy check-in. Homely atmosphere. This heritage building looks magnificent from the outside, but its inside reveals even more magnificent decor. We stayed in room no. 7 on the first floor. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Double shower in the bathroom. Our breakfast on spacious balcony in the morning sun was just a bliss! We loved it!

We stayed here just prior to Easter on our way to Canberra. We arrived around 7.30pm and although late were offered dinner at the in house restaurant - a lovely treat after a long slow drive from Brisbane. The menu selection was very pleasant and the wines very reasonablly priced. Our room was located on the first floor with its... More

What a wonderful place. Went here with "me Sheila". Beautiful place with wide covered porches and comfortable rooms decorated in the style of the era. Very nicely restored property. Receptionist was very pleasant and quite helpful. Our original plan had been to travel further up the coast and find another hotel to stay at the next night. However, we discussed... More

I turned up late by 45 minutes for the evening meal. Unavoidable business call. My wife, her sister and brother in law were already there. Jessica was just so welcoming, kind and nothing was too much trouble although she was single handed, well past knocking off time. The food was just fantastic, well presented, interesting and sensible portions. This was... More

A fantastic meal in the restaurant here turned into an overnight stay when we discovered every hotel in Ballina was booked out. Despite having no rooms ready and no housekeeper, the managers very kindly made up one of the attic rooms and offered it to us at a discounted rate. The room was beautiful - very comfortable and spacious -... More

Stayed here on the basis of the reviews here on Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. The restoration has been meticulously and thoughtfully done, and this extends to the attitude of the staff as well. This is not a cheap option but is good value for a rather special property. Sleep quality was good, and we were barely aware of other... More

My girlfriend and I only stayed for one night but I would love to go back for a longer stay. The service was friendly and dinner was excellent. I found the whole atmosphere very comfortable and a welcome relief after a long drive in holiday traffic. It is a bit dark and I can understand how some might find it... More
