Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

1 out of 5 the place is an absolute disgraceful place as the other reviews said they take good pictures , room was filthy , access dangerous , no one onsite to meet you , when you actually complain you get abused by the owners daughter Kate, there was no milk I was told to go buy some, I asked to be let out of the 2nd nite , was told by this Kate, to leave and I'd be refunded the 2nd nite , contacted booking.com they were told Kate is refusing refund and wants me black listed , I will be taking all necessary steps to get the 2nd nite refund, look I'm 64 never complain in my life , do yourself a favor don't be fooled by there fake photos a dump. Never ever stay there rudest people on earth. They ripped off other people and have a 1 star rating . The owners are pathetic.

Lovely holiday accommodation. Nice quiet self contained apartments. Really good location. Beautiful district and water views front and views from rear of property. Air con in rooms. Separate shower and bathroom. Easy going and flexible property owners. Had a great stay. Family and couple friendly. It’s a short walk to water and cafes. A beautiful place to wake up in.

For a relaxed, quiet beach holiday where you’ll only be in the unit for a shower, bite to eat and sleep, then this property will suffice. The location is good (right across from Shaws Bay), but the quality of the property is poor and requires renovation, from the flooring to the furnishings and appliances. The back screen doors of our unit didn’t lock properly, and there was a gap between the top of the screen door and the bracket that allowed for plenty of mosquitos and other bugs to have a field day in the evenings. Additionally, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Grime on the windows and floors, small dead insects and bits of dirt in the fridge and freezer (and in some cupboards also), dirt all over the outdoor furniture, dust and hair on the carpet were all found when we checked in. We found the managers/reception staff we dealt with for booking and check in to be lovely and organised. In summary, location and service good, quality of the property poor.

Great view, owner friendly. over prices for a motel which requires a good clean of windows and upgrade of furnishings. If accommodation had not been booked out in this area would have preferred alternative accommodation. no milk supplied although teabags and coffee were. clean the windows of mould, repaint new furnishings and reconsider pricing to fit with area is recommended

We stayed for 9 nights in the Best View apartment mid October & loved it. The owner Bruce was always helpful & accommodating. We had booked for 6 nights, then changed our plans & decided to stay longer. The apartment was big, with 2 balconies, large lounge & dining, a 2nd sitting area, big bedroom & bathroom/laundry. The decor isn't luxurious, but it is clean. The kitchen had everything you needed. The view over North Creek was magical, always changing with the tides. Then there is the bird life! We will go back anytime we are holidaying up the far north coast.

i arrived at the appropiate check in time of 2pm confirmed details, guests ages etc, to be told my apartment wasnt ready, no biggie i took the family for a drive. returned to reception to be told the key is in your room it was a bit weird. then i noticed our apartment was up an extremely old dangerouse set of spiral stairs (i have 2 small children) the apartment was spacious the bedrooms and bathroom were very clean but the outdated kitchen and appliances were poorly cleaned. we set off on a day adventure the next morning to be confronted by a very angry manager BRUCE who said the booking said 3 adults i said that must have been an honest mistake through wotif and i was happy to pay extra, he demanded $50 cash in the parking lot right then and there.. i passed it over he stormed off.. ruined my day. NEVER AGAIN.

The apartments do not look quite like the photos on the web site They are a little old and tired, but do have wonderful views They could have been a little cleaner but the bed was comfortable and the wi fi worked well More car parking would be good It does say on the web site that the top floor is up a steep flight of stairs and they certainly are . Not recommended if you are elderly or not well There are negatives but we enjoyed our stay despite these

You can't dislike Bruce he's a very welcoming pleasant guy which is why I don't like saying this. Apart from the incredible view , this place is very old & tired. It's not the cleanest either probably difficult to do because of its age. However Bruce if you let me know when you've refurbed I'll be back :)

You can't beat the view here. It overlooks North Creek and has views of Shaw's Bay. Nearby is the Shaw's Hotel and a small take away shop. Our kitchen looked out towards the creek which was forever changing. The bird life was interesting as well. We were visited daily by the resident frilly lizard. He's a big boy! Both the bedrooms were roomy, the beds comfortable and plenty of space in the cupboards. The property is a bit old however and that's why the ad days affordable apartments. I had to clean the windows which were smudged with children's fingerprints. The lounge though comfortable, could do with a steam clean and there were hairs on it. The whole set of units could do with a revamp and a good spring clean, especially the cupboards and the extraction fan above the stove. (it is greasy) However, these things are easy to dismiss as the apartments have a superb location, excellent views, friendly, unobtrusive staff and easy parking. We'd love to visit again, especially if it gets an update.

I'm a photographer and the sunset there was fascinating . The hotel room was clean and had essential facilities. It is absolutely reasonable price for the accomodation. The location is just fine and near for city centre and the beach . What else one can want for good weekend?
