Nanscawen is a beautiful place to stay, where you are warmly welcomed and encouraged to relax and enjoy the house and gardens. It is the perfect location for a visit to the Eden project, followed by lunch or dinner at Sam's at Polkerris. There is a great choice for breakfast and the rooms I have stayed in on two occasions... Nanscawen Manor House is in a beautiful location, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are close by and just a short drive gets you to Fowey, Charlestown, Lostwithiel and Polkerris where you'll find quaint pubs and great restaurants.... We absolutely loved Trewithen Restaurant in Lostwithiel, a small intimate restaurant with first class food and service.... recommended by... More

What a beautiful house, totally neglected. We booked for the room and the pool. The room was large clean, and tastefully decorated but so in need of refurbishment. The grounds are overgrown and the pool is not in use, the surroundings are overgrown, the steps are unsafe, the pool is not cleaned, absolutely no go. What a shame. The owner... More

If you are looking for a top rate b+b, then this setting is for you. The owner is very hospitable, laid back and friendly whilst the house, grounds and facilities are beautiful. Breakfast was quite delicious and sitting in the lovely conservatory, even in the rain, was lovely! Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the pool (the weather was rotten)... More

Another stay at Nanscawen and as always a warm welcome from Keith followed by excellent service and that wonderful "home from home" feeling. We always feel tranquill and serene at Nanscawen away from our everyday lives and with the freedom to come and go as we please from a truly welcoming home. In the winter months the log burner offers... More

We stayed two nights in the Rashleigh Suite, a huge room with an enormous four poster bed made of English oak it was rather too comfortable and we were slightly late down to breakfast which is served in the conservatory. We had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on both days as it was so good. Weather was mixed at the... More

Came for our honeymoon - absolutely idyllic and will definitely come back. Keith made us very welcome. The room was perfect and breakfast scrumptious. Could not have chosen a better place and will have so many lovely memories. Explored Cornwall which was beautiful and also went to Eden which is just 2 miles away. A fantastic honeymoon and Nanscawen Manor... More
