The BLue Bay offers an excellent base for travellers. Clean, comfy, great breakfast offerings, lovely sea view despite buildings in front of the location. The beach is gorgeous but down a pretty steep hill if you walk, or you can drive and park in the village where you access the beach on the flat. The hotel boasts a small and... More

We had a wonderful valentine dinner for eighteen people at Blue Bay. It is not easy to cook a la carte for such a large number but it wasn't a problem for James. The menu was superb and each course excellent. The table was beautifully decorated . Pippa had gone to so much trouble moving all the tables around so... More

We hosted my 40th birthday party here last night - it was amazing! Pippa and James were just astonishingly helpful - they helped us to plan the night down to the last detail and nothing was too much trouble for them. Having planned it so well, I didn't think I could be surprised - but I was! The food that... More

We (two couples) stayed at the Blue Bay B&B for two nights at the end of May. The views from that place are fantastic and the breakfast was perfect (also suitable for Vegetarians). The weather was not very nice during our stay but we still enjoyed the individiually decorated rooms and the hospitality of Pippa and her family. Great place... More

Flat screen tv and Dvd in lounge. There are 3 bedrooms. A double, twin and a room with 4 single beds so sleeps 8. Theres one shower... More

We stayed at the lodge called Surf Riders. Fantastic location, literally a five minute walk to the pub/shops/beach. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the lodge was immaculately clean. Free parking and free WiFi were a bonus! Only problem we had was that the cooker took a long while to heat up. I would recommend this lodge to anyone.

We were a group of carers with special needs people & Pippa & James took it all in their stride, were so welcoming & accomadating. The rooms were lovely, (my shower was probably the best shower I've had in my life!!) and as for James' cooking, the best mussels I've ever eaten. The breakfasts were so hearty, we managed to... What with the weather in May anywhere would have been great as we spent very little time in doors, but the Blue Bay couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming, attentive and professional. It really is a magical hidden gem for a bargain price considering the quality of the food, the location and the personal service the owners James and Pippa... More

Good points: Homely dog friendly accommodation, located within a five minute walk of a beautiful beach (which also allows dogs). Has glorious views of the beach and ocean (from the front of the hotel), is comfortable with non-objectionable decor (our Sandpiper room was decorated in a nautical/ brittany beach house sort of style), and the food/wine served is exceptionally good...
