An old fashioned and welcoming local pub with an open fire in one bar and a very tempting menu including local fish and really good local steaks. Although food is served and there is plenty of seating, particularly in the "family room extension", this is still a proper pub with plenty of people standing and having a drink - Sharps,... More

We arrived at Boscastle youth hostel so late after being caught in a horendous traffic jam on the m5 that we missed the opportunity to cook our dinner. So ran up the Cob Web Inn at about 10:45pm to drown our sorrows. After mentioning our journey to the landlord and our hunger he went off somewhere in the village and... More

We recently held my mother's 80th birthday party in the restaurant at the cobweb. It was the best carvery I've ever tasted. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the meat was delicious. They even made the most tasty apricot stuffing - we want the recipe!! All the staff went out of their way, particularly Norman, to make sure that mum... More

We have been going to the Cobweb at various times since 2003 during our visits to Boscastle and have been absolutely captivated by the place ever since. It is everything that a country pub should be - flag stone floors, low beams, dark wood, good beer, and reasonably priced good quality food. The meal we had last night was delicious... More

Went for a meal at this pub. Was just about to order when rude barmaid called me a fool when she thought i was out of earshot. Extremely upsetting so we left straight away. Very disappointed especially after reading all of the lovely reviews. More

Helpful freindly waitress but food clearly re heated in microwave (except mine was still only luke warm) shame as tasty food just would have liked it a bit hotter. More

Very friendly service, staff seem genuinely keen for you toenjoy your experience. Location is fantastic. Ale great. Full of locals which makes nice atmosphere Garlic mushrooms perfect Pasta nice Wedges quite average but do the job Monk fish overly priced, sadly. Misleading as it said in fennel sauce but it's actually little bits of fish drenched in sauce, more like... More

Just returned from a short holiday at Boscastle and we ate at the Cobweb Inn on a couple of occasions. Enjoyed the food very much and were made very welcome by staff. The owner also let my husband use the pub phone to phone home, which was really nice, (we could not get a reception on our mobile and the... More
