I haven't been to the Talbot for many years. Having wandered around the area for a walk, went to the Talbot for lunch with a group of friends. All five of us had a great lunch. Their own brewed beers were as good as ever. I would strongly recommend it.

We stayed here for the weekend with our dog. The staff made us (and our dog) feel very welcome and everything was excellent - the food, the microbrew beer, the service, the room etc. Homemade jams/preserves, biscuits, fruit liqueur nightcap etc. Farmers market 2nd sunday each month. Lovely riverside location. Nice walks. Definitely recommended!!

Lovely welcome after a long walk- arrived at 3.45pm and between us we ordered a selection of bar snacks from a wonderful terrine with salad to soup to spaghetti. Food arrived promptly and we tasted great! We were out by 4.30pm to catch a train so perfect.
