I have just spent a lovely relaxing weekend for a joint birthday party at this lovely hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and did everything to make our celebrations pass with style. The facilities are great in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Highly recommend!!!

We spent one night in the Castle Inn in March. The inn is clean and well decorated. We were happy to find internet service for the first time during our trip. We had car trouble and the staff was very helpful in getting help. The inn proved to be a wonderful spot for half our party to wait while the... More

Castle Combe has been voted the "prettiest village in England" and if you are a photographer or just appreciate rustic beauty, it doesn't disappoint. There are really only two places to stay, Castle Inn and the more grandiose Manor House (where I had stayed for a corporate event some years ago). Castle Inn by far preferable -- high-quality without being... More

We went in for lunch and ordered at 12.30pm. The food arrived at 1.12pm. Had this had been an elaborate concoction we may have forgiven the unacceptable wait but is was not. Just a simple Caesar salad (the chicken was cold so not cooked fresh). For my taste there was not enough dressing nor parmesan cheese and the croutons tasted... More

Stayed in a standard room for two nights. Room was very snug but bathroom more spacious. Bed was very comfortable. A little dark inside if the sun isn't shining! Staff very friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed both meals although the fish starter was definitely over priced. Enjoyed afternoon tea sitting outside the hotel. Thought the... More

Stayed here using Groupon. I have to say the best Groupon deal to date. We would be happy to pay the normal price for this lovely quaint hotel in the shadow of the Manor House Hotel. It certainly held it's own against the MHH as far as I am concerned. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was... More

Room was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was average. Evening meal was ok, service was in different. What this hotel really lacks is any leadership where staff are encouraged to match the hotel location and expectations of visitors. This hotel is another shadow of a chain run hotel with no soul, you pay the high price for the location and that's... More

We were lucky enough to stay for a night when it snowed in February 2012, so were treated to a beautiful village looking even more magical than usual. I can't fault the hotel, although the bathroom was a little draughty I thought. Breakfast was great. I thought dinner was a bit average, especially for the price. I expected something really... More

We stayed here for one night on a Groupon deal.We thought maybe we would be given one of the cheaper rooms but on arrival a very polite member of staff actualy took us to our room, which turned out to be probably the best in the hotel. The room was on the corner of the building meaning there were two bedroom... More

Called in for one drink at this pub (which is what it is) which, in fact we have stayed at previously - will not bother again! As with the experience of a recent reviewer, the bell hop smacked "reserved" signs on every table around us which appeared to me to be a strange act of petulance (there were no other... More
