I did not stay overnight, but spent a glorious 12 hours here on a very sunny saturday. The wedding was well run, and the afternoon tea and hog roast were excellent. The bar prices aren't too bad for a hotel. I cannot speak of the rooms, but the gardens and pool were lovely. I would stay here overnight if prices... More

My company booked the Beechfield House Hotel as the hotel we were intending to use was fully booked. I'm happy that that hotel was full, as the Beechfield experience was excellent. Unfortunately, I arrived late (11pm) so was only able to grab a swift G & T before making it to bed. However, the lady on reception was very friendly... More

Beechfield House's refurb has been very well done. And this hotel is in a great location with fine grounds. The rooms are perhaps a little overpriced - or is it that the rates set expectations that are not met? For example, it was impossible to regulate the shower temperature (reported to reception); noise from an adjoining room was excessive (at... More

We discovered this hotel last year (2011) and had wonderful cream teas in a relaxed atmosphere. We had the privilege of being able to stay for 5 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and we were treated like royalty. The ALL the staff were friendly and helpful whilst being efficient. The humour was a breath of home from home.... More

We booked this hotel at short notice (5 days) and the staff automatically offered us a last-minute discount rate without being asked. Of particular interest to us was that the hotel advertised itself as dog-friendly (£15 surcharge). Having had a long walk throughout the day we were met with a smile on arrival and shown around the hotel before being... More

Thank you for your kind comments. We are always pleased to welcome dogs to the hotel and have ground floor rooms in the coach house which are ideally suited. As you discovered there are some very pleasant walks from the hotel and for the more energetic it is possible to walk along the Avon to the nearby NT village of... More

Very disappointed mislead into buying a dinner bed and breakfast package with longleat package then when I checked out all meals had been charged, I questioned this and was basically accused of lying, I had even phoned them to re check after receiving confirmation email, they simply said this wasn't the case and I had extra £300 to pay on... It was very dissapointing to read your comments and hard to understand. As I explained to you on checkout you booked our Longleat special break. It clearly states on our website and in our confirmation letter that this is a B&B package. I truthfully cannot see that there is any ambiguity in any of the information regarding this. You said... We booked the Card Room for a small family wedding meal and were delighted with the courteous and professional approach of the staff. We decided to opt for the private dining menu which turned out to be a very good move. All 3 courses were lovely and the waiting staff were helpful, polite and professional. Earlier in the day we... This is a great place to get away. An old stately home type house near Stonehenge and Avebury - what's not to like? Spacious, clean room and the food was wonderful. I recommend this place and any time I am down in 'oul Wiltshire way I'll certainly stay here.
