Stayed there recently for 2 nights. Looks quite shabby from the outside/car park. Inside it's no different. Obviously a very old building, but need's doing up urgently. Already booked in by my brother(single room) me & another brother had a twin room(no 4). The room was in a very poor state, one bed had a rolled up pillow under one... More

I stayed in this hotel over a busy weekend and found it difficult to get a parking space. It is not obvious which entrance ti use to get to reception but once there I was greeted courteously and offered to be shown to my room (which I declined). I booked a single room but was given a double at no... More

I smile whenever I think of this place, and will return again this summer. Located in the crop circle district, within walking distance of Stonehenge, I am amazed we have encountered so few tourists during our stays there. But more so the locals, who 'invade' the pub/restaurant come evening. My smile widens when I think of the very tender lamb... More

Don't be put off by the bad reviews, it's a fabulous place. My husband and i stayed there for just the one night and it was superb. It's an oldy worldy type of hotel with lots of character, beams and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the food was excellent (great portions) and the room (no 22 with... More

No one on the reception to meet us when we arrived i had to go in to the bar and find someone to check myself and my mother in, then we were the left to carry our bags up the steep stairs to our room. The room was a very good size but filled with cobwebs, dust and a carpet... More

Guest Beware..!! This should be posted all around the hotel, or even better on the main entrance door to forewarn visitors. I do not think this 'Hotel' knows the existence of the word 'cleanliness'.. or even the health hazards associated with cholesterol laden food which seems to be the restaurant's speciality. I could go on and on about the issues... More

The room was perfect as twin for two guys sharing. The food was great value, large portions and quality steaks. Real ale was well looked after. A real find and close to a walking event we were attending. Really friendly staff and the local people reated us as locals. Going back soon

Stayed at the Hotel for a family funeral! After receiving the confirmation I noticed that you couldn’t book into the room until 1400hrs, the funeral was at the same time. I rang the hotel, unluckily I did not get the man’s name, I explained that we were driving 4 hrs and needed to get into the room to get changed... More
