Nice motel. Extremely clean. Can't wait to stay at the B&B one day. Fred and Karen are just the most wonderful people. Knowledgeable, friendly and astute. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. I'm personally impressed Fred knows how to properly prepare and serve a good beer,a rarity. Karen made us a perfect meal. Thanks for the great conversation and hospitality.... More

Fred and Karen provide more than a hotel room. They have full knowledge of things to see, local history, and a personal experience. They keep track of weather conditions at local attractions. The Dinner House restaurant has wonderful food and ambiance. We will be back. More

I have never been treated as rudely as I was treated by the owner of the Prospect Hotel. I was mistaken about their pet policy and instead of calmly telling me where the policy was located, he belittled me, called me an irresponsible pet owner, and went into multiple ways about how the situation was my fault… telling me on... This is a great location, and the owners are wonderful, what happened to the cook. Our family had Easter Dinner there yesterday and had ham from a 200 year old pig. The meat was tough, the garlic mashed had garlic chunks, and what ever the vegetable was we could not figure out. We raise farm animals including hogs and butcher... More

Wow, What a surprise. My wife (our Chef), our Office Manager and I talked to these guests several times during the evening and had NO idea they were unhappy. In fact our family Easter dinner was at the table right next to them. I sure wish they had talked to us that night. We served over 25 pounds of the... More

We stayed at the historic hotel after visiting Crater Lake National park during the day. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful such as suggesting hikes that we could do in the area. Our room rate also included dinner which consisted of 3 courses (very good) and a full breakfast. Also very good. Our waitress was a prompt and... More

We stayed 1 night (after visiting Crater Lake) in room -Frances Pearson. Room was clean but a little worn. Bed reasonably comfortable. Good walking nearby. We had dinner in the dining room. Good service, food quality average. More

This is a lovely small historic hotel that has been beautifully restored. The bedrooms, common room and dining room are all filled with lovely antiques. Our room, Pearson, was an adequate size, very clean, and nicely decorated. I loved the beautiful quilt on the bed and found the bed to be comfortable. Our dinner at the Dinner House was okay... More

My traveling companion and I were pleasantly surpried to fine this lovely property within a 45 minute drive of Crater Lake. Our motel room, with a queen and two twin beds, was clean and neat. The staff in the main house was friendly and helpful. We had dinner , each of our two evenings, in the Dinner House, and the food... More

I just came back from Crater Lake with my wife and two friends. The lodge in national park was full so I booked two hotel rooms from Prospect Historic Hotel for one night. I think I made a great choice and we really like this lovely histroic building. The hotel room is nice and clean, bed is comfortble. The owner... More

The room, (Jack London) was cozy and cheerful. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and well maintained. The property is convenient to Crater lake, the staff were cheerful, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They gave directions to local natural attractions. They shared recipes willingly and laughed readily. Dining was comparable to Crater Lake Lodge... More
