The Portland Marriott Downtown was a good place to stay- great location near the waterfront and a close walk to the downtown shuttles and to park space along the Willamette River. There is a good restaurant, and the rooms were large and comfortable. The conference my husband attended had a very good rate for the rooms. The staff was excellent... More

We checked in on Sunday 5/20/12. The check in was faily easy, especially since one gentleman was from the islands. Islanders have great hospitality - part of their culture. The room was nice with excellent bedding, best I've encountered throughout the years of traveling. We were on the same floor as the indoor pool and fitness room, which was perfect... More

This hotel is located right on the waterfront with amazing views of the river and all the lovely bridges crossing into Portland. There is a nice walking/biking/running trail that is safe and used by many people. The rooms are spacious and remodeled. Great indoor pool and gym with weight machines and card equipment. Room service is excellent...love the crunchy French... More

Our recent Marriott Downtown Waterfront hotel stay in Portland, Oregon was a treat! Things got off to a good start with the booking of the reservation by phone, first with the hotel staff to inquire about specific details, and later with the reservationist who was helpful and friendly. When we arrived for check-in, the Valet parking staff arranged prompt taxi... More

Beautiful hotel, luxurious rooms. Everything was clean. Close to the train. I really don't have anything bad to say! One thing though; I did get an awesome deal, so if I had paid the going rate, I don't know how I would feel. More

I don't know what it is with Marriotts. But the last few times I have stayed at them - I book a king, the give me two double beds - sorry - we're all out. I had this room booked months and months in advance. If it was just me travelling for work, fine whatever. But my boyfriend came up... More

The hotel just completed a renovation, rooms and furnishings were therefore very new, clean and in good shape. Pool and exercise room are very inviting, and provide views instead of being walled in and cut off. I attended for a conference at this location, and they were testing the fire alarm system the last day as finalization of the renovations. Accomodations... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Marriott Downtown Waterfront. I was there for five days; four nights during my May 2012 visit. I love the staff at this place. They are a welcoming and pleasant bunch of employees -- from the front desk staff and valet to the cleaning staff and gift shop associates. The downtown... More

would I ever stay at this hotel again. The location is absolutely terrible considering the rate they request for a 1 bedroom king. The rooms are outdated, fixtures are over a decade old. Air conditioner did not work at all. Rooms have virtually no sound barrier, and portions of the carpet and walls we're matted in some unknown substance that... More

I have stayed at this hotel off & on for years due to it's location and my affinity for Marriott properties. This trip was average in every sense of the word. The check-in experience took 15 - 20 minutes even though I am a gold member. After I got checked in and to my room my key did not work,... More
