Bottom like, if you can't sleep because the bed should have been replaced 10 years ago, it's a bad hotel. Shame on you Marriott. I can get a better nights sleep at a much cheaper hotel that has upgraded their beds. Marriott is way behind the times on this. More

If you want a central location in downtown Portland, this is it. All the shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and Pioneer Square is not that far either. I am not a Marriott Reward member, but I found a great rate through a 3rd party travel website, so I decided to give it a try. I am glad I... More

I got this hotel on Priceline for $65 a night (!!!) and it was GREAT. If you're coming form the airport grab a $5 all day pass for the TriMet (Portland's public transportation system, the pass is good for the lightrail, buses etc..) in 45 minutes you are downtown Portland! This hotel is a short 2 block walk from the... More

Overall: Stayed for business meetings, great location with respect to the MAX and great shopping. Unsure if I would stay here again, there seem to be quite a few hotels in the area that I would like to check out! Stayed in room 514, nothing exceptional about the room, functional and practical. Check in: Checked in on a Wednesday night,... More

I've stayed at this Marriott numerous times for business, and deliberately chose it at the end of December when on a pleasure trip. After reading the other reviews of this particular hotel I thought it might be helpful to point out that those of us who travel frequently and have joined Marriott Rewards (I'm a gold level member) are given... The location of this hotel is perfect for those who want to be in the center of it all. The lobby is small as some of the other reviews state, but the lounge on the second floor is very nice with great seating by windows to look out. We parked our car across the street in a garage and paid... More

After having a poor experience at the Marriott in Chicago (Miracle Mile) with the lack of recognition for Platinum Elite member, my family was sour on Marriott hotels for weekend stays. HOWEVER, the Marriott Portland City Center made up for it. We were upgraded to a nice room, given breakfast vouchers (the concierge club is closed from Friday PM thru... More

The good Stuff: At under $100 per night was an excellent value! All employees I encountered were friendly and professional. Hotel is newer; public areas are well maintained, clean and in working order. My king room was large and looked recently updated. Room was surprisingly quite. Clean, well appointed and quality bed and linens. Fridge in room was much appreciated.... More

As a Marriott Platinum, I found this property to be a great location and with the post-Christmas shopping, a great value as well. We were upgraded to a full suite at check-in and had a lovely northern view on the 16th floor. The room was spotless, great bed, and very attentive staff. We had good experiences with the Concierge Lounge,... More

The location is great being in downtown Portland. It is close to the lightrail and many great restaurants. However, with any hotel in a downtown area everything costs something. There aren't very many amenities so to speak and no frills. The beds are decent and comfortable to sleep in. We ended up splitting our breakfasts in the morning because we... More
