The Working Girls Hotel is owned and operated by Pendleton Underground Tours. In 1991, people on the tour would ask if any of Pendleton's 18 bordellos were still open? The tourists thought it would be fun to stay in one. Pam Severe restored and opened the W.G. Hotel in 1991, in one of Pendleton's old boarding houses (bordello) built in the late 1890's. Pendleton Underground Tours acquired the hotel in 1997. The Hotel has a suite and 4 other sleeping rooms all furnished in Victorian decor. Each room is unique. Hard wood floors, 18 foot ceilings and exposed brick walls make you feel as though you have stepped back in time, only with the luxuries of the 21st century.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This unique hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Each room is beautifully decorated in a color scheme with lots of period antiques. There's wonderfully appointed bathrooms opposite and a kitchen, dining room and parlour. I was the only person staying during my visit, but it does get busy in the high season. I thought it was great value as the price was comparable, if not cheaper, than any of the hotel chains, but was centrally located and had bags of character. Brooke is the very welcoming owner of this establishment and the underground tours. Be aware, children can't stay due to the antiques. Also, there's a flight of stairs to navigate to get to the hotel.

The Working Girls Hotel was an absolute delight—a chance to break free of cookie cutter hotels and surround myself with a piece of Pendleton's colorful history. I stayed on a cold winter night, which made the cozy antique furniture—piled high with warm blankets—and sitting room fireplace especially welcome. Visiting another of Pendleton's brothel sites as part of the outstanding Pendleton Underground Tour was great fun, but staying in one, with its high ceilings, vintage decor and view of Main Street, was an absolute treat. Brooke from the Underground Tour staff was also friendly and great to work with, and having an easy-to-remember code programmed into the door lock when I arrived made logistics a breeze. I can't wait to visit again.

We spent one night at the Working Girls Hotel and due to the airline amending our flight time we arrived much later than we’d hoped so didn’t have long enough to soak up the incredible atmosphere at the Working Girls. We stayed in the suite which had glorious windows, high ceilings and gorgeous historic furniture. Decor was incredible throughout. Location was very central and the kitchen had delicious coffee. Only downside was the noise from both the street and the very loud A/C in the hallway disturbed our sleep a bit. Also there was no WiFi in the suite. Good value though - recommended!

Despite the reviews about booking early, we were able to get a last minute reservation for a weekend get-away. The high ceilings are amazing. Everything was clean and there is a lot to offer. The kitchen is nicely stocked! Full fridge, plenty of dishes, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, as well as a few seasonings, coffee/creamer. There is a washer/dryer, a full dining room and a common lounge area with a TV. There isn't cable, but Roku is hooked up. Our TV in our room had a DVR player. There is free Wi-Fi, but the connection varies through the hotel. We stayed in the Suite. It was roomy, plenty of room to unpack and feel at home. The shower was great and there were plenty of towels provided. The hotel isn't staffed, so it was very private and quiet. There wasn't anyone staying in any of the other rooms, so we had the whole place to ourselves. I would say the only downside of our stay was the street noise. The stairs could be a downside for some. Parking is whatever is available on the street.

What a fabulous place! The antiques, the ambiance, the amenities... and excellent customer service all surpassed expectations! I stayed at the Working Girls Hotel on a business trip. I just needed a convenient place to stay downtown but was fascinated by the history of Pendleton so when I discovered the Working Girls Hotel, I couldn't resist. And so glad I didn't! The beautiful suite I had had everything I needed and more. The kitchen and dining area allowed me to have a leisurely meal as I finished up some work and the comfortable bed and quiet room put me right to sleep.

This place is sooooo cool! Imagine if these walls could talk?!!! Super relaxed atmosphere, clean, quaint rooms, and just gorgeous inside and out. A lot of love has been put into this place to restore it. I felt right at home. P.S. It's right the middle of downtown and within walking distance of everything!

I stayed in Pendleton on business and my two nights at this hotel provided the best home away from home that I could ask for. The kitchen area with full fridge and sink are something rare in business travel, as well as the large area to relax after work. The attention to detail throughout this establishment made my stay one of the most enjoyable business trips around Oregon yet!

The name tells the story: Antique furniture, comfy bed. Right in the middle of old downtown. Two doors down from the Underground tours, and a cool antique shop. Lots of places to eat, and explore. We had the place to our selves two nights. Awesome! We will be back. Cheers

We were intrigued by the history of the hotel and the building fulfils the Victorian promise. The high ceilings and the period furniture create a wonderful ambience. We had the place to ourselves so sat in the sitting room and watched a film.. home from home! In the morning we made ourselves breakfast and ate at the table in the dining room. Pendleton is a cute little town, lots to see on a walk around including a shop selling saddles!

We stayed at the Pendleton Working Girls Hotel on the 2nd October in the Suite accommodation which has a king size bedroom, large dressing room and a private bathroom. The choice of furniture in this suite is absolutely superb and fits very well into the overall feel of the building’s environment. The place is amazing with very high ceilings, over 15 feet tall, in all of the public and private rooms which when coupled with the original exposed brickwork provides an interesting architectural and restful environment. The accommodation is exceptionally clean and has a well equipped kitchen area and breakfast room which enabled us to cook our own breakfasts. We were very impressed at the sympathetic conversion work that has been undertaken to make this a unique experience, especially the communal sitting room, Well done to the team and all of the contractors they have used to create such a restful hotel experience.
