Decent rooms in terms of cleanliness, but the management is more than discourteous, exterior is beyond decrepit, and the experience (have stayed there twice...tried to give it a second chance) was wholly unsatisfacory. Newport deserves infinitely better than this and offers it up everywhere else at comparable prices.

I have stayed in many places along the coast. Even lived here for about 5 years. Love the quiet area that the Driftwood resides in. The manager was so nice. If you are looking for first class this probably isn't the place, but if you want to get away, be left alone, have an incredible view of the Pacific and be close to the ammenities nearby this is the ticket.
