The location is remote, with wonderful views of the mountains and hills. Mary and Norbert are interesting and nice people. The room is a separate cabin with bathroom, wood burning stove and small kitchen, so there is privacy. The breakfast was perfectly prepared. It was the perfect B & B experience.

If you are a hiker, stargazer, birdwatcher or history buff you will love this place. A few hours into your stay and you are living in the moment. We stayed for one night on a quick trip through the John Day Fossil Beds/Painted Hills area. We can't imagine there is a better place to stay in the area.
