This B and B is a little off the beaten track - around four miles out of McMinnville and so walking to dinner is not really possible. It is an old farmhouse that overlooks a small vineyard. Jack and Denise are the ever-present, friendly, knowledgable and chatty hosts. They knew a lot about the area, the wineries, the monasteries, the... More

Denise and Jack, thank you so much for all your help, hospitality and expertly advise about wineries and restaurants! Our stay at your wonderful house was one of the most pleasant and memorable episodes of our trip. Yakov and Evgenia.

We stayed at The Mattey House for 2 nights in the Pinot Noir Room. Jack and Denise are wonderful hosts - very friendly and extremely interesting. We loved hearing their stories - especially those concerning "Never assume someone does not speak your language". We did wine tasting in the Willamette Vally - Denise gave us coupons for tastings and made... More

My fiancee and I only spent one night here. Jack and Denise were so friendly and are great hosts. Before we arrived they emailed us a list of great local restaurants and offered to make reservations for us. The full breakfast was amazing and they accommodated my need to eat gluten free! Jack & Denise gave us recommendations for wineries... More

Great hosts made this a special experience. The full breakfasts were excellent. For a B&B, this rates near the top. This was close to a winery we had pre-booked for a tour (Anne Aime). Jack suggested we dine at Bistro Maison, because we asked for a special gourmet restaurant. This restaurant was super and will be rated separately. Mattey House... More

My husband and I always wanted to visit the Willamette Valley and explore the area and visit the wineries. We found the Mattey House on Tripadvisor and decided to book our stay at the Bed and Breakfast for 8 nights. The Mattey House is located in the country outside of McMinnville. This location was perfect for us because it is... More

If you love pinot noir and in general good wine, you'll want to add wine tasting in the Willamette Valley to your bucket list. Dundee Oregon is in the center of some of the best areas to wine taste. There's a few hotels in the area but if you really want a top notch place to stay and you've always... More

We spent a full week using the Joseph Mattey house as our base for exploring wine country and other local attractions. It's centrally located and the hosts Denise and Jack help to maximize your enjoyment by providing advice and directions, making reservations and providing helpful contacts at wineries and restaurants. They work hard. The house is clean and tastefully decorated,... More

Jack and Denise were lovely, the estate was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious!!! Highly suggest this place for anyone passing through! My husband and I were passing through on our honeymoon and they surprised us with a little bottle of wine and a wonderful card to the "bride and groom".... so thoughtful!!
