We stayed five nights in the Mt. Howard cabin, with its two bedrooms (sleeps up to 6), two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, easy walking distance to Wallowa Lake and only a mile from two popular trailheads. Bottom line: This was the second time staying with Wallowa Lake Resort, look forward to staying there again.

Have been staying here longer then the current owners have owned it. Can't beat it, as a get away place to just relax, or have as much fun as you want. We stayed in Cabin 3, "Glacier", where we could hear the rushing river and watch the deer. Our poodles also had a great time tracking the critters on the lawn behind the cabin. It all depends on lodging you select. I got the Heidi house and was not impressed. There was no wireless which was promised and no phone service. I thought it was over priced. You are paying for the location more than anything. Next time I will be staying in Joseph.
