Wow, what can I say...the little honeymoon cotteges are just so cute... with spa tubs and steam showers, canopy beds, fireplace (flip a switch!), music...they think of everything...including champagne, chocolates and fruit. I love this romantic place and paired with a night out at Britt is is just fabulous. You can check in, have a nice afternoon, walk to Britt,... More

Historic rooms, fine dining and a ghost story.....but ackward entrance! Let's start with the down side. You enter this magnificant, historic building up half a flight of stairs and must make a decision to enter the restaurant or the wine shop......where is the lobby? No historic counter with old fashion register...no period piece decor....no winged back chairs nor parlor...it's a... More

This is one of the "Unique Inns" properties in a sleepy but interesting small town in Oregon. We stayed in one of the quaint cottages near the old brick hotel. (George Bush stayed here also).Just a superb ambience and and excellent meal in the Inn's dining room. There is a wine store in the hotel also. More

Worst dinner we've ever had at a fine dining establishment. Our party of 4 ordered fish, filet and the chicken special. The best of the lot was the chicken, wrapped in ham. They were tiny dry nuggets with an overseasoned overcooked pasta dish. The steak was not a filet and was flavorless. It came with soggy veggies and a romaine... More

My wife and I have owned the Jacksonville Inn for 35 years, during which time we have developed a loyal clientele that encompasses not only all of southern Oregon but also extends throughout the United States and around the world. During this time we have never received such a misleading, unfair, and malicious review. Inasmuch as I am 75 years... More

Nothing cookie cutter here. From fresh flowers in the room, drawer liners that match the wallpaper and upholstery, luxe soaps and lotions, no detail is overlooked. Morning coffee that I didn't have to make awaits outside the door. Included in the stay is any choice of delectable full service breakfasts. Dinner at the Inn! Spectacular! Petrale sole cooked and seasoned... More

The ancient (by West Coast standards) Inn is atmosphere plus plus plus. We agreed that there have to be ghosts there, but nobody got hurt. It is in the middle of Jacksonville and absolutely beautiful. There is a dining room that looks kinda formal, but the staff was completely welcoming to us in our kickin'-around-town-ware. The food was, to quote... More

Our usual stop on the long annual trek by car up to Portland has been Shasta or Ashland. We have grown weary of both. Jacksonville is just outside Medford but a world away. This inn epitomizes the gold rush charm of the town's origins. We actually liked it so much we booked it for the return trip. It's not a... More

My wife and I came upon the Jacksonville through search on the net for 'Unique Hotels'. It was a special occassion for us celebrating our 30th anniversary so something special was in order. The ambiance, decor, service and all out 'cool' of the hotel and the staff more that suprpassed my expectations. We viewed the rooms on-line and called their... More

My husband and I stayed only one night at the Jacksonville Inn on our return to Portland after a driving trip to Lake Tahoe to visit friends. We stayed in Cottage #10, and we loved everything about it, especially the steam shower. Our dinner at the Inn's restaurant was superb, and the breakfast (included with room) was wonderful! If I... We have been lucky enough to stay at Jacksonville Inn's pet friendly honeymoon cottage when attending a concert at the Britt. What a wonderful experience from check in to check out. Thank you Jacksonville Inn. The restaurant was equally wonderful, good food and great service. Very enjoyable experience. More
