I was fortunate to find this motel on last minute's notice. The owners were friendly, accommodating and interesting (ask them about teaching art to underprivileged Costa Rican children in the off season). The room had a 70's look, but the amenities (lights, cable TV & microwave) were new, functional and the bed was firm. Most of all, the room was... More

I use it for motel-camping while exploring eastern Oregon. It is very plain and has probably not been updated since built. The heater works, there is hot water in the shower, refig and cable TV. All I do is sleep there and it works fine. As to the comments on the "owner's wife", well she is probably at least a... More

While the rooms were acceptable, and relatively clean, the owner's wife was extremely unfriendly and inconsiderate. The owner himself was friendly and very helpful but the attitude of his wife made me very uncomfortable. Would not stay there again.

Cute old cinderblock buildings with metal casement windows, but the rooms are shabby, worn, and tired. The shower was a metal stall with peeling paint; someone hand-wrote arrows with "off" and "on" directions above the knobs. A closet-sized area in one corner of the room was walled off with do-it-yourself sheetrock, for reasons unknown. The mattress was old; an extra... More

Old and shabby. Looks better on the outside than inside. The metal shower had peeling paint and rust. The rooms are badly in need of paint. The bedding was threadbare and the beds were old and squeaky When we opened the door we were overwhelmed with a nasty chemical smell. The owners did not put up much of a fuss... More
