I had the same bad experience the reviewer had back in 2010 from BC. The almost exact same thing happened to me, by the time I had noticed the error it was too late. I saw the dates were the night I had made the reservations for. The manager needless say was VERY rude and mean to me and was... More

My six year old son and I stayed here for the PAC 12 championship game weekend. I wanted something affordable and this was one of the few places that did not double their prices for events. It was clean, extremely spacious and I loved the location! The Whitaker neighborhood is very artsy and funky in the way I like. I... More

The room was acceptable but there was coweb in a corner and the heater blew out dust. So the price was modest, but continental breakfast was promised. What was provided is like an ultra tricky definition of continental breakfast. Shame on the operator for cheating trusting customers who have a right to expect even a minimalist continental breakfast! The Express... More

A had a good week staying at this motel. Rosie who works there is always friendly and good to have a conversation with. There is a nearby laundromat a few blocks walk. It was affordable and the bathrooms were recently updated with lovely granite. There are refrigerators in the rooms. And although they do not offer smoking rooms, they do... More

This hotel was a nice place to stay on a short trip to Eugene with friends. It's cheap (under $70 for a double queen) so you have to manage your expectations. The room was very clean but strictly utilitarian. The bed was firm and did not feel old or abused, and the fridge and microwave were in clean workable condition.... More

Wow, as a seasoned traveler, I was on my way to another motel just 200 yards away and thought, maybe they will honor another motels coupon. Guess what? THEY DID!! The motel staff was very friendly. They have excellent rooms here. I even asked if anybody was above me, because I do not like the foot traffic and noise, they... More

I booked a room based on the reviews on TA, but the date of the booking defaulted to the date I was actually keying in the request. When I received my email confirmation at 9:43 pm it was for that very night. With a 3 day requirement for cancellation I was already too late to do anything. To make it... More

I was caught off-guard, and had to find a cheap motel fast. Most cheap (price) hotels/motels are dumpy, but not this one. I was nervous about the room when I checked in, but the lobby was nice so there was hope. I was assigned to room 201 and was very pleased. The door is solid and the room was clean.... More

We lived in the Whitaker neighborhood between 2004 and 2006, and our apartment was too small for guests; so to accommodate our guests, I visited and examined all the cheap motels between Whitaker and the university. The Express Inn was the best. It was the cleanest, least dingy, most spacious, and, fairly newly renovated, it was in satisfactory shape. Guests... More

Clean, but too many other issues. Not good value for the money - it was as expensive as any other place we stayed but only about one quarter as pleasant. First of all it's in a so-so area on a very noisy street and the doors and windows open to the street. We couldn't get the key to open the... More
