Definitely the off-season. My wife, kids, and I stayed Thanksgiving eve night. If there were 10 occupied rooms at the hotel that was alot. Good basic hotel room. Got exactly what was promised in the reservation (NS, microwave, fridge, bed configuration), room was clean, and the other guests were pretty quiet even though the place looked to be nearly full. What's the use of chain motels having "frequent guest" promotions when the motel staff won't honor them? Stayed in six Econolodge motels during their recent double stamp promotion.
