Booked on-line for $100/per night so got a huge savings, and maybe that's why I was treated so poorly. Total should have been $307.00 plus tax, and $50 incidental fee plus $16/day for parking which is obsurbed, but I was aware prior to booking, not to mention no charges until the end of your stay. When I arrived (day 1),... More

You're not going to find a lot of top notch places to stay in Toledo. This hotel was very clean and nice. The walls had some patches, the bed was a little hard - but I felt very comfortable in the room. This is probably one of the better hotels you'll find. Honestly I've been to other downtown Toledo hotels... More

I have been in Toledo on business since mid-January and have spent the last 6 weeks at the Grand Plaza. There have been one or two extremely minor inconveniences but, overall I've had an excellent stay. It does cost $16 per night to park. The breakfast buffet is a little expensive. It can take the water several minutes to get... More

Maybe we got there at a down time for travelers to Toledo, but the occupancy rate (by the staff's own admission) was only 5%, and yet service was not good. Rooms were clean, but the elevators (particularly the floors and doors) were filthy. Being the only ones in the restaurant in the morning, service should have been rapid, but it... More

Was there for a wedding and reception recently. The entire celebration was like an all inclusive vacation. The staff was very attentive and service was excellent. Loved the fact that the hotel bar was open and available after the reception where the party continued. It was great how the hotel was accomodating.

I have just stayed two nights at the Grand Plaza Hotel. This is my first visit to Toledo and I was there for two nights. I travel for business and pleasure, and I have about 200 hotel stays a year, so I have a lot to compare this hotel against. The man at the front desk could use some customer... More

The room was clean, I'm guessing around 500 sq. ft. The room looked like it was unprofessionally updated. I went to sit in the lounge chair and it tilted back, one of the back legs was broken. After I straightened the leg and sat down, I noticed a dusty smell. The a/c unit was directly behind the chair, I removed... More

This is one where you just hate to say anything negative because it's obvious the hotel is hurting, struggling to make a go of it, and all the staff are SO exceptionally friendly and anxious to meet your every need. But it's an old building, there isn't always hot water, the ceiling in our room (11th floor) poured in rain... More

We stayed at this hotel recently with extended family for a wedding nearby. The rooms were clean and definitely adequate. I had stayed there previously when new as the Sofitel and later when it was a Wyndham. Obviously the bathrooms are a little dated but the lobby is very nice and one of our rooms was a suite with floor... More

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We here at the Grand Plaza Hotel Downtown Toledo realize that you have many choices to stay elsewhere while in our fare city. I noticed that you commented that there is little to do within walking distance on the weekends while visiting Toledo. While we are connected to Imagination Station, we are... More

I was staying in Toledo on business and found the accommodations to be very comfortable and the employees to be friendly and professional The lobby and restaurant area have a nice contemporary look. Breakfast and lunch appeared to be all buffet-- they seemed to be refreshing food a lot, and there was a good variety. Lunch was a good value.... More

We are glad to hear that our meeting space was more than adequate for you. Many people also comment on our very popular Lunch Buffet. We get many people coming from many local companies daily just to enjoy lunch. I apologize that our elevators did not function to your satisfaction. We do require the usage of your hotel room key-card... More
