This beautiful hotel is located in the heart of the Amish Country, OH and it blends very well with the surroundings, with its sophisticated country style decor. The rooms are spacious, the view from our balcony was devine, the staff extremely helpful and eager to please.Although the free breakfast is somewhat limited , the bakery which is situated on the hotel... This marks my fourth stay in four years at a Carlisle/Der Dutchman hotel. Like its sister hotel in Walnut Creek, the Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek is one of the nicest extablishments I have ever stayed in. Quiet, clean, beautiful decor, and friendly staff make the Carlisle Inns the only place to stay when visiting Ohio's Amish community.

WOW! We went here for my birthday weekend and it turned out to be fantastic! They treated us like royalty! I would go back again. This inn is very beautiful with a whirlpool and swimming pool. Breakfast was good. They have stores and a restaurant right on the complex.

My husband and I have stayed in this hotel twice. Once around Christmas time and then once last month. This place is heatwarming, comfortable and staying here revived me in so many ways! The bed was so comfortable, the room so clean and beautiful! And the staff went above and beyond being freindy and making you feel like family. Whenever I... More

Room was nice and clean. My husband and Rented the king sized bed room. The room was comfy however, the mattress was not. We woke several times during the night because of the worn mattress hurting our backs. Other than this our stay was nice.

Amish craftsmanship abounds in this elegant inn. We have stayed here twice, both times in the middle of winter with snow on the ground and freezing temperatures. You walk in the door and you are greeted with some of the friendliest employees around, warm smiles, how nice! Polished wood graces all areas, from the entrance to your room. This month... More

As a native Ohioan, I have spent a lot of time in Amish country. Only after moving out of Ohio did I find the need for a place to stay for return visits. I tried a couple before finding the Carlisle Inn in Sugarcreek, and now I wish I could take the Inn with me everwhere I travel! The beds... More

The hotel was decorated for Christmas and had beautiful decor and they were serving popcorn, hot chocolate and assorted cookies. Our king size room was clean and spacious. We did have a few strange occurrences with the TV and lights; it has been mentioned this hotel is haunted. It sure did make us wonder!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us while visiting the area. We are glad you enjoyed the Christmas decorations and evening amenities. We would like to apologize for the strange occurrences you experienced with your T.V. and lights. This is the first time we have ever heard any mention of our hotel being haunted.
