My husband and I stayed here one weekend in October 2011 while we visited Cedar Point for Halloweekends. We love tent camping but knew that it can be quite cold in Sandusky in mid-October, so we opted for a cabin. We LOVED the cabin! It was small and simple (little wooden shed-type building), but very cute and cozy. Our cabin... More

My husband and I went up to sandusky last week for our mini honnymoon. We decided to check out campgrounds instead of hotels to save some money. I found camp Sandusky through google, saw the very cheap price of the cabin and prematurely booked. After looking at some reviews I wished I wouldn't of. We went with very low expectations.... More

I stayed at Camp Sandusky in August 2011 in one of their tent sites. It was a thoroughly unenjoyable visit. It's the type of venue chosen by car campers who seem to have little experience camping, and thus don't observe common courtesies you'll find in other campgrounds. My neighbors burned campfires well past 1 AM, one neighbor had an outdoor... More

We got a great deal on the cabins so I feel as though I should not complain. We purchased a Groupon for a night since we were visiting Cedar Point. It was a good way to check out the campground to decide not to return though. The Cabins are better than tenting but we did expect them to be a... More

Overall a good campground for what you pay for. It needs a "face lift". At night it is pitch black and you can't see anything, including people walking on the roads, much more lighting would be useful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything needed updated, the cabins, pavillions , and camp store. The basketball court, pool, and sidewalks... More

We tent camped at Camp Sandusky for two days while visiting Cedar Point. Our experience with the campground was somewhat mixed. The staff was very nice and helpful but the amenities and location of the campground itself left something to be desired. Our site was somewhat small and was located very close to the highway. We had to put up... More

We had a good time tent camping at Camp Sandusky early June when we went to Cedar Point. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. We had accidentally placed our tent on the wrong site and they were very polite about it and just moved us over a site. The bathrooms were fine for me and the toilets all worked,... More

My wife and I recently stayed there with a group of our motoprcyclinh friends while on a trip to Sandusky for Ohio Bike Week. The staff was very helpful. They allowd us to move our entire group just so me n my wife could put our tent in a favorable spot between two cabins. Everyone else had a cabin. They... More

This was our third time staying in a camper cabin at Camp Sandusky in the last 4 years. We have a boat and love to combine camping and boating on Lake Erie. We choose their camper cabin so in case it rains we are more protected than in our tent! My kids love the bunk beds too. We went to... More
