I brought my family on a little outing approximately four hours from home and thought we'd stop by the castle, while in the area, to see if we'd like to plan a trip and stay here. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon - fully expecting the place to not necessarily be "ready for show" as most guests would have already... More

Last time I reviewd the castle it was under different ownership. Now the orginal owners are back. The castle does have some areas that are a little tired looking and could use updating. BUT the thing is the ladies who work here make the castle. They are so nice and so genuine. I absolutely adore the place! Yes it could... More

My wife and I booked the upper room of Cinderella's Coach House for a celebration of our fortieth wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. The castle is located in an isolated area with no television or cell phone reception - although there is a library of movies and each room is equipped with a dvd/VCR player and... More

My wife and I stayed in the King Arthur suite on Sunday and Monday night utilizing their "Nutty November" promotion (stay one weeknight, get the 2nd weeknight free). As such, the price with tax came out to the fairly reasonable equivalent of $110 per night. Pros: The decor/atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, the suite was very spacious, and... More

We stayed for two days:TH & FR nights. They don't serve dinner at the castle except Saturdays. We had breakfast, which was better than most free breakfasts but not gourmet brunch either. We stayed at the Frog Prince. It was comfortable and cute and about right for the price-- I would call it a step above a nice camper. It... More

My husband and I decided to have a quiet relaxing getaway for our 7th wedding anniversary. This was just what we were looking for-- quiet time to share together-- off we went after our children went to visit grandma. Our room was the "empress matilda" room -- one of the 2 king size bedrooms "inside" the castle. It was located... More

cross the "bridge" to the past and enter peaceful surroundings. This little gem is located near the beautiful Hocking Hills of Ohio and takes you to a more genteel time. With a striking "great hall" and lovely antique filled rooms, Manor Mistress Sue will tend to your needs...visit Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave and return to evening dining and... More

Stayed down at the Ravenwood Castle in the Frog Prince Cottage for a girls weekend. This place is a "once and done" location. The cottages are quite a ways from the castle and the hiking path that is used to walk up to the castle is overgrown and not well kept. Food is not good and the tea is bagged... More

After a rough start, Ravenwood Castle turned out to be a nice place to stay. My wife and I were there to celebrate our fifth anniversary and stayed in the Woodcutter's cottage. The cottage, as with the entire grounds, is decorated in a theme and is very nicely done. There are only two real negatives to our stay. The first... More

My husband and i stayed in the candle-maker cabin. It was cozy, romantic, and a quiet setting. Like many said there is no cell signal, but there is none anywhere in the area. I had gotten this cabin because of the jacuzzi not realizing that it didn't come with a shower, but that is my own fault (it does state... More
