Kabuki by the Sea is a truly magical place. It is serene and romantic with the very best views on the East Coast. So if you want to relax, cuddle with someone you love and really regenerate this is where you should stay. We often stay and walk down over the rocks to the beach and have a paddle in... More

These units, located about ten minutes out of Swansea and just under an hour from Freycinet, the rooms are quite small but have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The views from the units, perched atop the cliff, are wonderful and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks at night is almost hypnotic. We ate at the restaurant... More

Kabuki is a real gem with a genuine Japanese chef named Michi and fresh Tasmanian seafood. The Bento box is amazing and all food prepared from scratch so practice your zen and chill. The rooms face Great Oyster Bay and at night there's nothing to hear but the soothing waves rolling onto the rocks below

Fantastic restaurant too, with a nice Bent box.. The walks are magical and apartments are simple with japanese style feel and a fantastic view forever across the ocean.

The Kabuki experience starts with the whimsical 'Kabuki Duck Crossing signs'. You then enter via the Japanese style inn to be met with wonderful vistas of Great Oyster Bay and peaceful musical sounds. In this setting we experienced a delicious Japanese meal with a Tasmanan flare. The accommodation is nestled on the side of the cliff face. From the bedside... More

Having missed out on eating here 10 years ago on our last visit I was really looking forward to the experience as it came highly recommended then. The food was good but not sensational the setting is a bit tired and a little grubby. When I see a place like this in such a fabulous location selling other odds and... More

I visited this restaurant while I having a holiday in Hobart last several days. restaurant view is good. that's it. However, the food was terrible. we ordered large bento, califonia roll, chicken terriyaki, Japanese platter and miso soup. Firstly, raw fish was disgusting. It is very old smelly and had cut by normal kitchen knife. I can cut better than... More

We stayed for a couple of nights at Kabuki by the Sea between Christmas and New Year. The setting is nothing short of stunning, and the units are a bit past their prime. Unfortunately the lack of water pressure made for a very cold shower with the water just trickling out. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. The, very friendly,... More
