Agree with all the other reviews that state that the owner is a very sweet and helpful. The room was nice and clean and a cot was provided to us for no extra cost which is a plus. Yes, the decor of the room and bathroom may be a bit dated, but it's a very clean and comfortable room and... More

Want a cheap clean motel room? That's what you get here so you can't complain. A little out of town but walkable, this motel is definitely still in the 60's so if you were around then, you will know what to expect.

I stayed here in November 2010 and put a review on TripAdvisor at the time. This was my second time here, and while the value is hard to beat ($75 with a continental breakfast), I was a little disappointed this time round. The room was clean, but it was a different one to last time and a little more rough... More

A good option if looking for budget style accomodation. Jan is very friendly and welcoming. Our room was okay and clean but very dated. The mattress was very soft and in need of replacing. Free WIFI but connection to our iPod, iPhone and Mac was very spotty. Despite these criticisms you will be hard pressed to find better value in... More

I'm a big fan of Tripadvisor and use it religiously. However would have to say this is one time when the reviews didn't really match what I expected............which was maybe too much. I'll agree the owner Jan was just lovely, helpful and friendly. And I guess this is a case of "you get what you pay for", however I was... More

I can only reiterate everything that has been stated below. A great find! Jan is a hoot, a gem and we too felt like we were ripping her off! We didn't eat here we went to the pub in the paddock a little drive away but had a brilliant stay.

If, as previous reviewers have said, this motel is in a time warp, then take me back to that time. We arrived in late afternoon and sat in our little bay window drinking in the sunshine and drinking tea. This was after being greeted in a most friendly way by Jan who confirmed that the quoted price of $70 was... More

As many others have said the place is an echo of the 70's and the rooms are basic. They are clean and quiet however and there is wifi connection to each room. Jan, the owner, and her staff are very pleasant and helpful and I would certainly return when next in St Helens. There is a restaurant attached to the... More

At only $70 per night including breakfast we weren't expecting much but this place really delivered. Cleanliness was amazing the rooms were spacious and although outdated, still in good condition. New tv and DVD with DVDs to borrow and free wifi. Amazing customer service. Restaurant was also really good. We almost felt like we were ripping them off! Highly recommend... More

This small old style motel is operated by a lovely, friendly older couple who were most helpful. The motel is getting a bit tired and needs a facelift, however the rooms were spacious and clean. Free internet access is available at the office. The restaurant was disappointing, with a limited menu of mainly deep fried seafood.
