Kikis room. all the good reviews are correct, however this is a popular place for a small town and they management is quite busy. Checked in very late after a long trip to wineglass bay and they were okay with that. Australia has some of the worst and overpriced places & service in the world but this one is fine.... More

We stayed in the Apricot room it was very cosy and warm. We were greeted by the owner who made us feel very welcomed. Down stairs in the lounge area we had a fire ready for us and some yummy treats with tea, coffee, wine, and port available for us to help ourslves too. The room had tea and coffee... More

Obviously old and a little tired, this accommodation on the pretty main street of Ross, was none-the-less comfortable and spacious. We were made to feel very welcome, and could not resist the famous vanilla slice. Loved the cosy sitting room with log fire, and delicious breakfast from the bakery oven. It has a unique charm!

Walking past the bakery the sign on the window said "World's best vanilla slice" - we had no choice but to go in and try one. We were not disappointed, it tasted fantastic! The bakery was clean, busy and definitely worth a visit.

We were attracted to come because it was the background of the famous Japanese cartoon and we were not disappointed. We did not live in the inn but the bakery itself is a wonderful place to visit. The food is great, the staff are friendly and efficient and their 17th or 18th century maids' look adds special charm to the... More

We stayed here on a weekend trip to Tassie a few years ago, but this time we were just passing through, so we stopped at the bakery with the kids, who happened to be very indecisive on this occasion! The staff were very patient with them, and the service was great. I was a little cynical of their claim to... More

We have just checked out & we LOVED it. The cottage has a very 'homely' feel and contained everything that we needed. We loved the huge kitchen table! I am one of those people who reads reviews but rarely writes them! In this instance I feel I have to as after reading the last cottage review, I nearly didn;t bother... More

The Inn operates as an in-house bed and breakfast plus a small cottage down the road a bit. Booked Kirsty's Cottage for two nights and, based on other Ross Bakery Inn reviews, expected great things. Also, it was quite a bit more expensive than comparable accommodation on the road between Hobart and Launceston. Quite a few disappointments. First, the living... More

This historic bakery and inn is situated in the main street of Ross. The town of Ross is itself one Tasmania's earliest settlements and maintains that olde world charm with many historic sandstone buildings, ruins of a penal settlement and churches. The staff in the bakery also run the accommodation side and are very friendly. Pastries on arrival and help... More
