Helpful and friendly. Did a tour of the buildings after breakfast which was more interesting than I thought it would be!

If you want to steep yourself in the history of Tasmania then the Foxhunters Return in Campbell Town will fit the bill nicely. We stayed very comfortably in what was once the Public Bar. The apartment comprised a spacious bedroom, sitting room and ensuite bathroom, all decorated with period furnishings where possible. You can also stay in the renovated stables.... More

We stayed a couple of nights here at this B and B and had a really good stay. The inns history is fascinating and the book shop below that is set up in the old cellars is amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate.

A tad expensive for the service we got, the "Old Kitchen " bedroom was lovely and we enjoyed being shown around by our host and learning about the history of Foxhunters. The Book Cellar is very well stocked. After staying in a total of five B& B in Tasmania with which to compare this one we would suggest that the... More

Spend a couple of nights in this Bed and Breakfast with my family. Walking distance to everywhere in Campbelltown. Just beside the park and the river. Michael the owner and host is just awesome. Lots of history in the place and make sure you check out the Book Cellar...lots of amazing stuff there if you're into books.

A little on the expensive side for a smallish main room with a double bed and basic continental breakfast. Also had a smaller room with bunk beds enroute to the bathroom. Lovely bathroom with 'old stlye' fittings. Good water pressure. Bigger rooms are available. This B&B is quite clean and comfortable for a short stay with a couple of kids.

Touring Tasmania and focussing on colonial history and architecture this was a great overnight in Campbelltown. Very happy to have found this B&B. We stayed in the old kitchen, terrific open fire (as well as electric heating) very comfy bed, had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was very good, we enjoyed the tour of the house and a wonderful bookstore... More

We found this perfect B&B whilst recently on holiday in Tasmania - and what a delight it is! Clean. comfortable, well-priced and perfectly located in Campbell Town right near the Red Bridge. A lovely room, pleasant hosts and - well, I could go on forever! And don't miss the Bokk Cellars underneath!

Having lived in Tasmania for sixty years we have travelled up and down the midlands highway between Hobart and Launceston about a million times. It does get tedious! Until we hit on the idea of turning a boring chore into a minibreak. We tried a few places around the half way mark but Campbell Town ticked all the boxes because... More

Came across by boat to Devonport and drove to Campbelltown. Fox Hunters return was a great place for a Midlands heritage stop, right in the convict heart of Tasmania. We enjoyed the amazing colonial feel of the accommodation. Great hospitality, friendly atmosphere, we loved the transformation of the convict cellars into a bookshop. The open fire in our room was...
