This could well be a great place to stay, but for the lack of maintenance and total run down appearance, inside and outside. Housekeeping was apparently on holiday, as there were cobwebs all around the place, peeling paint on the walls and lots of signs of plasterwork in various stages of completion. Innkeepers Roman and Kate did a great job... More

A fabulous weekend of 18 May 2013 spent in this very homely and friendly hotel. Our room was very clean, the bed very comfy and the electric blanket and oil heater much appreciated. We and our friends had a very enjoyable experience with Roman and Kate being brilliant and super friendly hosts. Roman cooked us a great dinner and Sunday... More

My partner and I spent three nights at this guesthouse over a very chilly mini break away from Sydney! The guesthouse was full of warmth, however, mainly due to the personalities of the hosts, Roman and Kate. We were made to feel very much at home. Our room was charming, the bed very comfy, and the bathroom huge! Roman is... More

The kids and I agreed that our regular drive out to Canowindra was just too long - so I thought we would cut the drive in half, and stop at Mt Victoria en route. What a great decision, cos we made a great find. At a budget price, we scored a roomy bedroom and spacious sleep-out, and a bathroom with... More

We stayed 1 night here and loved it. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The building is beautiful and the front verandah makes for a peaceful reading space. Breakfast was included, my eggs were cooked perfectly. This place has character and I would definitely stay again.

If you love 4/5 star mod cons and luxury then this isn't for you. If you enjoy old buildings and Edwardian charm then soak it in. The ground floor is charming with lots of rooms to choose from. The bedrooms are quirky because they've been remodelled from the original but the bed was very comfortable . We enjoyed sitting out... More

I really think this place is special. Yes she (have to say she as she feels alive) needs a bit of tlc and a coat of paint but she oozes charm and character. Helped by the amazing Roman and Katie who run her. Their hospitality was first class, nothing was too much trouble and the food is excellent. If you... More

Stayed two nights at the V & A Guesthouse in Mt Victoria. We were booked into one of the Queen spa rooms. Basic but more than adequate furniture, and we had a second room with coffee/tea making facilities, sofa bed and TV. Our host, Roman and his partner Katie, were very obliging and made us most welcome and comfortable. Nothing... More

We have had the most amazing evening at the Victoria & Albert. It was fairytale stuff. 1914 building (a little "tired") but the staff more than made up for what was lacking in "finery" - they were warm and friendly and most obliging. Ramon the chef was fab. His food second to none, but dinner and breakfast. The Receptionist (sorry... More

Yes, the rooms are basic but we found them very clean and cozy. The staff could not have done anymore for us, very accommodating. From the time we arrived until the time we left they were at our beck and call. The food - what can I say EXCELLENT..... and plenty of. Nothing was too much trouble. We will DEFINITELY... More
