I have stayed in a lot of high end resorts as well as "eco" type resorts and this place is a wonderful combination of the two. Verana is only accessible via boat and it sits high up on a hill overlooking the most stunning vista. You really get a sense of being in a remote, beautiful, exotic locale. Almost all... More

As many of the previous reviewers alluded, Verana is a wonderful place. Regardless of what you are used to, you will be impressed by the level of service, quality of food, privacy, beautiful view and unique accommodations. To give you some perspective, we are a married, no kids, many pets couple in the 35-44 demo. We are big fans of... More

One of my favorite places in the world! My husband and I have been here twice now, and we are sure to go back. Why? Because everything about Verana is simple and understated, yet amazing in every way. The food- fresh, interesting and delicious. Drinks- I have dreams about their margaritas, they are that good. Spa- doesn't get better than... More

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here, and it was so perfect for us. We want to come back every year! From the impeccable service to the unforgettable views and the amazing food and drinks, the whole experience is one we'll never forget. The people that stay there are adventure travelers who are looking for luxury. I can't say... More

This resort is amazing! We just had the pleasure of staying here over Christmas and wish we could go back already. The grounds are beautiful - exactly as they are shown on Verana's website! What really set this resort apart from other beautiful resorts is the service! The service is exceptional - friendly, unobtrusive and never leaving you wanting for... More

This is a great place. Very different, and you should expect different. Most rooms don't even have four walls! The safety railings and steps you see in the U.S. don't exist here. We tripped up on the sidewalk a couple of times and were hurt once. The pool is fabulous. Rooms were very clean. Bedding excellent. Unless you have a... More

Stayed here on our honeymoon.... was the PERFECT retreat. We stayed in both the Tea House and Stone House. Managed to take a peek at all the "rooms" as we had the whole place to ourselves for part of our stay - every room is unique and special in their own way - I dont think anyone would be disappointed... It was everything it promised to be. The views are breathtaking (we stayed in the Tea House and Pool House) and the hotel it truly unusual being... More
