The rooms were very worn, stained walls, the beds and sofa bed were in bad shape and overall it felt quite tired. The coffee supplies were minimal but the biggest bugbear for me was the cheap plasticky mattress protector that didn't fit and kept slipping off, crackling as it went. The staff were pleasant and helpful which rescued the visit... More

I have took the time to write this because I think the reviews I have read are very unfair having stayed in this travelodge several times and over a number of years, while visiting my mum and dad in the local town. The rooms are basic which is why they can offer the cheaper rates, the hotel has been there... More

We booked a one night stay and didn't find it a pleasant experience. It looked as if somebody had tried, unsuccessfuly, to wipe down the grubby walls but left dirty streaks being unable to reach the higher parts. There were 2 opened milk cartons which had leaked milk together with an empty crisp packet on the chair. The TV had... More

We stayed at this hotel for a family get together the next day. Well the room stunk of urine and the carpets were sticky. The bed rocked from side to side as the legs had given up. My partner had to sleep on the sofa as it was impossible to both stay still in the one bed. I asked for... More

We booked a Saturday night family room for £62.95. Me ( pregnant 3mnth)my husband and twin boys aged 3. We were on the ground floor. The room seemed comfortable and bathroom was clean. Not the best hotel but fine to stay one night. That was until I found the Dow would close. Reminder- ground floor, children and expensive valuables. When... More

Me and my boyf went away for a batty weekend in Brighton, we stayed at this hotel as the Brighton centre travelodges were full. We did only pay £12.50 in a sale so can't expect much. When we first arrive the door to the toilet was wedged shut and we had to get members of staff to come and smash... More

My family and I booked this travel lodge for two nights as we needed to attend the funeral of my mother the following day. I would have booked the Central Gatwick Travelodge, but on this occasion needed to be nearer to where my brother lived. I can honestly say this was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. On... More
