Rubbish .... Literally. Ash in the toilet so possibly cleaners had been smoking. Stains om horrid satin duvet and dirty tray and cup . On the positives fairly comfortable bed and shower that worked a treat. No chair in room so couldnt work at desk or dressing table Lesson Lerned for me - go to premier inn

£45 for two people is cheap. You pay for it with a poorly decorated and fitted room (but a good shower), the cheapest formula food, one person cooking breakfast for 30, no-one at reception early or late, discharging keycards and a general feeling of ruthless cheapness. I understand they run the Ramada up the road and get similar reviews. I... More

On arrival the receptionist was keen to charge for the room rather than waiting for checkout. The lift which was stainless steel looked like it had been wiped over with a dirty rag, a there were water marks all over it. Our hotel bedroom was very small and had not been cleaned properly, carpet not clean, and bathroom floor dirty.... More

right next door to drive in mcdonalds, noisy at weekends, other guests had no consideration, loads of door slamming and shouting, very small rooms, beds not very comfortable, and althought the restaurant area looks good the food quality is pretty dire. How hard can it be to cook a burger??? mine arrived virtually cremated. Was a cheap price for the... More

Checked in to the room and the first thing that hit me was the horrendous smell of stale smoke. For a non smoker this can be quite sickly. I rang and asked reception if I could change rooms, however because they are fully booked they couldn't move me. But offered to come and spray some air freshner but never came... More

I stayed at this place in Jan,2011 when I was touring UK on Business. It was then known as 'The Lodge'. Our trip was planned at the last moment in a bit of a rush but we had received good feedback from colleagues who had earlier stayed here. So we decided to give it a try and it turned out... More

I've stayed here a few times whilst working in Birmingham and have found the staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean but some not very big. Showers are excellent and very powerful. Nice selection of food on a night at fair prices and free continental breakfast in the morning which has a great selection. Gym on the first floor... More

Convenient location as straight off the M5 at Junction 2. Staff were very good - friendly & helpful. The Continental Breakfast was not much to write home about. The room/bathroom was okay, not overly clean, but okay. BUT - dont expect a good night's sleep as you can hear all the noises from other guests - loud tv/music, the shouting... More

Stayed for one night. Double room for £35.99. Room quite small but ok as travelling solo. Room was clean and tidy. Very small bathroom but all functional with a large walk in power shower. Has a bar/restaurant under the hotel. Very nicely presented. Was recommended the aberdeen Angus burger by the staff. Very nice. All the staff were helpful and... More

My husband and I stayed last weekend, and the only redeeming factor was that the one and only staff member we saw was fantastic. We changed rooms two times, after one had suspect sheets and the lights where not working in the other room. This could be a great hotel, but attention to detail is missing, for example no serving...
