Ramada Oldbury is a tired hotel that appears to be on the long slide to the edge of the cliff. I found the hotel did not feel like it was being looked after and it appears to have been starved of investment. Whilst none of the issues I found were deal breakers, I found they added up to create an... More

Along with many other reviewers I don't know where to start! Room number 1.... The room had an overall unpleasant odour of sweat and food. The carpet was very stained & dirty, you really wouldn't want to walk bare footed. A very thin quilt, cheap, nasty & smelled of sweat. worst of all NO mattress protector, only a topper because... I made reservations at this hotel purely on its location without looking at any reviews until after I had booked two rooms so I was a little concerned at the number of negative comments, thankfully the hotel proved to be rather good for the money. We didn't arrive until late and check in was quick and easy meaning we had... More

OK First and most important considering your paying 35-40pounds a night this place is very good. I stayed in hotels where I've payed a lot more and they have been far worse than this hotel. Bedroom wise, I'm not too sure what the complaints are about.. I stay in Birmingham at least twice a month and don't think this hotel... More

My partner and i checked in on saturday 4th Jan 2012,and although we were hours earlier than the check in time they organised us a room really quickly. We did want a drink but there isn't a bar in the hotel, which i found very strange - the restaurant didn't open until 6.30pm so if we wanted a drink or... More

I regularly visit the West Midlands on Business, and this is my last choice of hotel locally. The front entrance has now been missing its glass door for quite some time, the rooms and the hotel are generally clean, but the beds are hopelessly uncomfortable, and the pillows are like cheap teabags, small and poorly filled, and its just as... Myself, my husband and 2 year old stayed here for the night and we had a very enjoyable stay. The check in was quick and the staff were friendly. We requested a travel cot when we booked online and the cot was in our room upon arrival. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a... More
