I stopped for a week whilst on a course and it was great. The staff are very helpful and chatty. The food should be on masterchef and the beer is excellent. I like like a good pint and the IPA is a good move there. I would definately stay here again with out question.

About 20 went to the Bear's function room for a 50th birthday celebration. The room was cosy and service very good. the meal was from a set menu but turned out to be super overall the evening was a great success. Well done the Bear and their great staff

Excellent service, Really good food and good beer and a friendly welcome for all.

Great location for us, gorgeous character building, very friendly staff, nice clean comfortable rooms - excellent breakfast! perfect for our one night stay. We were on the top floor and loved it but some people may struggle with the steep stairs. Not a problem for us though and our family included a 7 yr old and 77 yr old!
