We paid £58 to stay here and it was a real bargain, rooms are very nicely done (ours could do with a comfy chair) and Rugby town centre is just a 5min walk away and not much further to the train station. Not able to comment on the restaurant as it was closed on the Sunday evening when we stayed... More

This hotel blew me away. I was expecting a travelodge basic as had to come for work and was looking for a cheap option. From the moment I arrived the service level, character of the building and quality of the meals exceeded all my expectations. The Owner Manager has created a service professionalism amongst his staff that any Hotel would... More

Booked for a pre-christmas family get together sunday lunch for family travelling from Hertfordshire and Herefordshire as Rugby roughly half way. The food was excellent, the vegetables deserve a special mention. There was a very good choice on the menu to suit all tastes, as a veggie I felt the menu choices for me were well thought out and enticing.... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in mid-November '11. Our 2-night stay was very comfortable and our lunch in the restaurant was very good but, unfortunately, we were not able to have an evening meal there. I'm sure it would have been very good! We would happily return to this cosy establishment. More

We spent the day in Rugby and had lunch at The Carlton. The atmosphere was relaxing within the dining room. Service was brilliant and helpful with the waitress suggesting various dishes and explaining what was in each. My friend had the Beef Bourginon and I had the Fish of the Day - both were superb! When I explained that I... More

My room at the Carlton Hotel was fairly basic and small, but sufficient for my needs as a solo traveler. Room was comfortable and offered a reasonably good night's sleep. Walls were thin so could hear everything going on in the adjacent room, but those guests maintained a low level of activity so wasn't a problem. I was unable to... More

We had the pleasure of dining here last night.....I must admit I had never heard of this Hotel, even though its in our local Town. We arrived and were greeted by a friendly face at the bar and were presented with menu's which had plenty of choices and a selection of Chef's Specials. We ordered and were taken through to... More

Congratulations to everybody at The Carlton! In a world that is dominated by drab hotel chains the independent well run & affordable hotel is very much alive and kicking! I stayed at The Carlton for a week while on business in the area...my bedroom, one of the hotel's new boutique rooms was comfortable and comparable to what I have experienced... More

Thank you very much for your kind words. We like to think, being an independently run establishment that we can go that extra mile for our guests, and provide the best possible, personal service in both the hotel and the restaurant. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and everyone at The Carlton looks forward to welcoming you again... More

Very friendly service, cozy flair and really tidy rooms make up for a really pleasant stay in the Carlton Hotel. The only feature one may want to add would be a hair dryer for the ladies, however that is just a minor request. For travellers arriving by train, the location is almost ideal since you are doing one way (even... More
