what a shame great building but terrible rooms with AC that doesn't work and really average service

Generally a nice hotel in a very pitoresque setting. the gardens are beautiful and the building is stunning. You have to be aware that you are a bit away from everything, but one normally informs homself about the location in advance.
The major downside is the breakfast, even though the quality of the food is good, the service is not....

excellent stay with my girlfreind. Wasn't the best spa Ive been to but the customer service was the best i've ever recieved well done. Food was beautiful to look at and eat. Will be back again very soon

I have just returned from a spa break with my daughter and we had a lovely time. Our room was clean and comfortable, the massage was really good and all of our meals were excellent. This was a birthday present from my daughter and I hope it is one she will repeat!

The actual hotel I'd give a 3.5 or maybe a 4. But it's the very service minded staff that make it a 5. I've stayed there twice, once for business and once with family, and on both occasions I found the staff very helpful and friendly; all of them, from the Spa/pool staff to restaurant, reception and porters.
