Sadly not the place it used to be but much better than Newton park down the road. It use robe owner managed now I think it's a small chain but they did a reasonable job overall. The pub has lost it's atmosphere but the rooms are good value.

Very good value on the 2 for the price of 1 deal, room pleasant ,breakfast good quality and well cooked, pub steak meal great value. and a good choice of bar meals. nice helpful staff. The rooms are dirty. This is a fact. The bathroom had a blind that was hanging off it runners. The bedroom had cobwebs from the light fittings over the bed, that were themselves thick with dust.
