Greeted at door and concerned no other customers for the carvery. Immediately told of the rules and why we should not leave table in case the rush led to us losing it. By end of meal no other customers had come on no wonder. Carvery of 3 meats and potatoes veg etc but provided with a pretty small plate so... More

We have enjoyed Sunday lunch from the carvery on a number of occasions, & had no cause for complaint. The hotel is clean, the service satisfactory, & the food absolutely good value for the £10 charged. It appears that other reviewers are expecting haute cuisine for the price of a a curry - Get real, this is a small family... More

Clearly the weirdos that run this place don't like people, so why they choose to run a business right next to the UKs biggest theme park is a bit of a mystery. Take a hint from the lack of parking spaces... they *really* don't want your custom. If you're unlucky enough to find somewhere to park you're treated to an... More

Like most people we were drawn in by the picture perfect scene from outside the hotel, a lovely setting in the bottom of the valley with a huge carvery sign by the road side. Thankfully we have a landrover so parking was not an issue although a bit tight in the small side road passed as a car park. You... More

Having obtained a fantastic deal in the Splashlandings Hotel within the Alton Towers resort, my three friends and i opted to venture out from the hotel in search of some local, cheap 'n' cheerfull pub grub. Having already passed the Alton Bridge Hotel on the way in to our lodgings, we bookmarked it in our minds purely on the basis... More

To sum up in three simple words...."don't..go..here!" In no particular order this is why........ 1.The smell of cats - really puts you off when eating a meal 2.The cavery - one wafer thin slice of meat per plate priced at £10.95 - ok if you like your meat rare 3. Whatever you do, do not ask for a tea plate... More

Firstly I must say I don’t usually waste time in writing comments about places were I stay or eat but I feel very angry and appalled about this establishment that I need to pass on my comments to other people to avoid this dive like the plague. After spending a great day at Alton Towers the family thought we would... More

Stayed over for 2 nights whilst visiting Alton Towers theme park. Looked for B&B's near to Alton Towers and finally decided on the Alton Bridge (mainly due to look of it on website, fact it did Carvery and had a bar!) Didn't read trip advisor prior to booking and when did, about 3 days before going, started to regret due... More

I've read most of the other reviews on this site, and I have to say that we had a very good time here. We booked to stay for 2 nights on a trip to Alton Towers, as we had seen the hotel on previous trips. We arrived in the evening before our first day at the park. We were welcomed... More
