Jane and Paul were great hosts, we all enjoyed our time at the cottage. Tea and yummy cake on arrival, spacious room with a home full of interesting features, trinkets and a homely feel. A great breakfast followed by some helpful local knowledge meant we had the chance to see the local hotspots. We both really enjoyed our time, the... More

We had an overnight stay at Arden Cottage on our way to Cornwall and we were made very welcome with tea and biscuits and treats for our two labs. After a good night we had an excellent breakfast. Jane and Paul were excellent hosts. More

Jane and Paul are two of the nicest people we have ever met. They have a plaque hanging in their dining room ..."Enter as strangers, leave as friends"...which sums up their hospitality perfectly. They couldn't do enough to look after us and our hyperactive puppy. They have a beautiful, traditional, home in the country. The rooms are lovely and our... More

Another superb visit to Arden Cottage - it's spending a bit of time with friends! We went down just after New Year - we've stayed before and we always get a terrific welcome - roaring logs in the fire, brilliant food, lovely home-from-home aga. When I had something wrong with my phone they lent me theirs. They know all the... More

We stayed at this B&B between christmas and new year in the family suite, myself, husband, 2 teenagers and Frank the dog. The owners greeted us with a welcome cup of tea and homemade mince pies. They dont have a dog themselves but were looking after a dog and my own dog was made to feel very welcome - it... More

Jane & Paul could not be more friendly and welcoming. We have only known them a short time however we count them as friends. We have stayed at Arden 3 times and both our grown up daughters have also stayed with their families and we all love it. The cottage is superb to say the least, the breakfast is 'to... More

We stayed at Arden Cottage during the half term week in October. Having 2 small children and a puppy, it has become clear to us, over the 4 months we have had the pooch, that the standard of accommodation we can come to expect, leaves a lot to be desired. At least that is what conclusions we had come to... More
