We stayed at Myrtle Cottage with our 2 kids for 3 nights in room 5 just under the eaves. The cottage has a really homey feeling and the hosts were ever ready to help us without being intrusive at all. Really comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, we all enjoyed the time spent there and would definitely recommend a stay at Myrtle... More

At Myrtle Cottage we received an excellent level of hospitality without any suffocating attention. Our hosts were unobtrusive yet ever ready to help when we needed it. They had an excellent knowledge of the area and a very well-stocked array of pamphlets and maps for a multitude of local holiday activities for all ages. The cottage is cosy and one... More

Myrtle cottage is in the heart of Exmoor and the price is unbelievably good value. It is close to the shopping town of Minehead, beautiful coasts, great English countryside, and the quaint harbour of Porlock weir. What you get for your stay is an amazing breakfast with an array of choice from full English, to gorgeous local jams and honey.... More

recently spent 2 nights at Myrtle Grove. Room clean with ensuite shower, well stocked tea/coffe tray with biscuits, that was re filled each day. Just a little to much furniture. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice and proper branded cereals, freshly squeezed juice and local jams/honey. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Dog was welcome at no extra cost, a rareity... Just spent a very pleasant four nights in this delightful thatched cottage B&B in the heart of Porlock village. The room (we had room 3, a family room with double, single and if required, folding single bed) was very adequate with flat screen TV, tea making facilities, hair dryer etc. Breakfast was excellent with most tastes and appetites catered for.... Great place, run by lovely couple. Absolutely fantastic full English breakfasts. (I am hard to please when it comes to proper cooked breakfasts). We spent three nights there. Me, my wife and out seven month old daughter. They couldn't do enough to help. Charming place. Lovely people. More

Just back from a lovely couple of days in porlock. Cottage right in the centre of Porlock with own small car park and garden for chilling in. Hosts were loveley, nothing too much trouble, always on hand to help with any advice on the area etc without being intrusive. We had a lovely room in the attic, quiet a small... More
