Stayed here for a function, had a large and comfortable room at the front of the hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities in room were handy. Tv etc. Roomy bathroom with nice toiletries. Comfy bed. Breakfast included which was lovely. Reasonable rates. Enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Nice menu, different items from the usually pub grub. I had home made shortcrust pasty lamb and apricot pie love.

Decent food at decent prices. Nothing special. Shame about the mass produced bread in the ploughman's: the bread should be the centrepiece of a Ploughman's, not an afterthought.

We stayed in a small family room which could have done with a bit of TLC. There was evidence of water leaks on the external wall. Other than that the room was comfortable enough.
We had dinner and breakfast which were both very good and well presented.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pleasant staff, breakfast was good but the room was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was clean on the surface but there was black mould between the tiles. The walls were dirty and in need of a fresh coat of paint. The furnishings in the room were nice and gave the room a bit of a facelift but it wasn't enough...

Having said that, we had a comfortable...

Stayed here for one night on Thursday 10th November 2011, when on the Adam Ant tour. If you are planning on attending a gig at the Cheese and Grain, stay here. Reasonable prices, prime location, adequate room, friendly staff, good food, and nice ale (though expensive).Would stay again.

My single room, 203, was the worst hotel room I've stayed in for years. It was cold, the carpet was grubby,it had no bedside table, the ceiling paper was peeling, and there were damp patches on the walls.
Initially, the bathroom looked OK, but it too was bad. Of the three ceiling lights, one was hanging down (it shouldn't), the...

This hotel is in a great location for a stay in Frome and the very secure parking is a bonus in a town centre. We were allocated a smoking room despite having booked non smoking but were moved straight away once the error was pointed out. The bed linens and towels were clean and fresh, the bathroom was clean and...
