We booked the double en - suite room for two nights, and were very impressed by the large and beautifully furnished room together with a huge bathroom. The house is decorated with wonderfully eclectic objects and the light fittings are amazing! We enjoyed walking in the large garden, before sitting down to delicious breakfasts, with lovely fresh fruit salad, brioche with... More

A pleasant overnight stay was marred by our daughter being bitten by one of the owner's labradors. This frightening experience was made all the more unpleasant by the owner's apparent lack of concern. We would not recommend Langsmeade House to anyone who is at all anxious around dogs. More

We stayed for one night after dinner at Le Manoir. We booked the ensuite room, which was huge and had lovely views over the garden. Very peaceful in the house, although you could hear the noise from the nearby motorway. We got a lift to Le Manoir which was a fantastic 'extra' and although we offered to get a taxi... More

We stayed for one night when visiting Le Manoir for lunch and the owner made us a much needed cup of tea when we arrived and very helpfully drove us to our lunch and would have picked us up if needed. Our room was pleasant and quite large with a comfortable bed but there was some noise from the nearby... More

We stayed at Langsmeade House together with our children and grandchildren to go to a wedding at Notley Abbey. Marianne is the most superb host and makes all her guests feel totally at home. We stayed in the main ensuite guest room which has 'home from home' amenity right down to a cafeterie on the tray for breakfast coffee. The... More

My partner and I stayed here recently the night before a close friend's wedding as a little treat to ourselves so booked the main en-suite room. Marianne the owner very kindly met us in her old school london cab at the nearby train station (Haddenham & Thame Parkway) and drove us to the beautiful seclusion of the B&B where we... More

We treated ourselves to dinner at Le Manoir and stayed at Langsmeade House. It was a wonderful, quirky house with great period decoration and charm. Marianne was very welcoming and was very accommodating with lifts in her old London taxi to and from Le Manoir. We only booked one night but would realy have enjoyed staying longer. More

The house was a real treasure and full of interesting objects. We were made to feel very welcome by Marianne who obviously loves the house and seems to enjoy sharing it. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. On arrival we were welcomed with afternoon tea in the lounge and in the morning enjoyed a lovely breakfast. It is... More

If you don't want a premier inn experience but actually something with idiosynchratic character and charm this is what you will get at Langsmeade House. We received a courteous welcome and the room was very clean and tastefully appointed, there were complimentary water, tea and chocs. There was a shared bathroom across a corridor but as we were with my... More

We stayed here whilst visiting Le Manoir (can't bring ourselves to pay Manoir rates!). It was perfect - location is good, just off the M40 and set in beautiful grounds. It's almost on the motorway but the windows are glazed so well you can hardly hear the traffic, even in the still of the night. It's a beautiful house, with... More
