Have just returned from an absolutely idylic stay in the Courtyard at Hodsock Priory. Although we only stayed for one night it felt as though we had been away for the entire weekend as it was such a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The room was perfect, spotless, comfortable and quite luxurious with excellent facilities and great attention to detail, e.g.... More

Friends had told us how much they enjoyed their visits and we heartily endorse the comments expressed in the 'Hodsock Snowdrops' review of 28th February. My wife particularly liked the aconites. Being a weekday, I suppose, there were no bacon butties on sale as mentioned in the earlier review but the bonfire in the grove on the woodland walk was... More

Having enjoyed our walk around the grounds we were looking forward to a rewarding lunch. What a disappointment! The cafetaria felt like a prison visiting area. There was no atmosphere, the furniture was very basic and cheap looking, dirty tables and servers standing around, food in hand, shouting out numbers. The sandwiches were uninspiring with a measley salad on the... More

We always welcomes feedback from guests and we're sorry to hear that your experience of our Cafe Bar was disappointing. We're already discussing how we can improve menu choice in the future and working to ensure that tables are cleared as soon as possible during busy periods. Thank you for your feedback. More

For many years we had seen the signs to Hodstock Snowdrops signed off the A1 and knew it was a popular day out locally. It was time to visit. It is a very slick and professional organisation. Stewards in yellow visi-vests direct cars to a parking area in a field a short walk from the Priory Gatehouse. (There is disabled... More

Hodsock Priory is open from February till the begining of March for the public to walk the grounds and see the beautiful display of snowdrops. The facility has a vast amount of parking available including disabled nearer to the main entrance. The entrance fee at £5 per adult is a little steep as the main walking area only coveres a... More

Had a very pleasant evening in the Courtyard and would have liked to stay for longer. The stylishly decorated rooms consisted of a kitchen area, small living room with wall-mounted TV leading to a large bedroom with en-suite facilities and could not have been cleaner. The kitchen facilites in the room would have allowed a meal to be prepared but... More
