Stayed here for one night as we travelled back from a short break in the Highlands. Lovely comfortable rooms which were very clean. Lovely soft towels and good tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The owners were very friendly. Pity the weather was so wet as the views of the sea were covered in mist. Liked the fact... I stayed here just for one night in September 2011. I wish I'd had time to stay a bit longer. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Lovely comfortable room, views breathtaking. Just a short walk from the town and harbour. The breakfast was wonderful - I have never seen such a huge selection of fresh fruit to enjoy while... More

Stayed the last week in October 2011 with 3 for 2 offer & had a great time in a lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Very friendly & cosy, great breakfasts. Will be back May/June next year to stay again & see the Puffins on the Farne Islands. Joan & Peter - Bridgewater Somerset More

For £95 a night, in the off season, you'd expect luxury. To be fair we weren't expecting luxury, we had seen the photo's and knew what sort of place it was. To be even fairer we weren't expecting to pay £95 a night either. The wording on the confirmation letter was ambiguous and given the decor etc we mistakenly assumed... More

WOW - This is one vindictive review, all because the gentleman did not read his confirmation letter correctly, which was in no way ambiguous. My suggestion is reviewers balance this review with all of our others. john More

We reserved 4 rooms for one night for our party of friends. All were individually styled and priced and all were excellent in cleanliness and quality while the number of appointments in the rooms is usually found in more expensive hotels. Binoulars on every window sill throughout the hotel is a nice bonus. The 'Honesty Bar' and lounge was terrific;... More

Stayed here in August, weather very wet, hotel very clean and breakfast was excellent. fruit the choice of nine different types including strawberries and blackberries. choice better than some 5* hotels. Loved the honesty bar, met a few nice couples late evening good idea if you enjoy meeting new people. would return without doubt when next in thisarea. More

Drove down from Edinburgh & a delightful sight St Aidan's Hotel greeted us. We booked 2 Double rooms & a Single room ... All well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast from John & Sue was "Scrumptious" & speedy, in spite of the Full Occupancy! A prior appointment prevented us extending our stay another night. Excellent location ... Just a short walk... We stayed here for two nights of a walking holiday, having stayed in a number of B&Bs previously on the trip. This wasn't the 'best' B&B in terms of facilities and attention to detail. However, due to the layout, location and attitude we had the best time that we've had on our trip so far. Why? Well first of all... More
