Stayed in a Courtyard Room for 1 night - we were extremely pleased with our room which was really a 'suite' with lounge area with TV, bedroom with very large double bed and separate ensuite bathroom. Everywhere was very clean and pleasantly decorated although it was unusual to see the large TV instead of the Flat screen TV's which are... More

Stayed in the main house for two nights. En-suite room was clean and thoughfully decorated with ceiling beams adding charm to the room only let down by the poorly fitting (handmade) room door that had a 1/4 inch gap down one side!. The bathroom was clean and nicely furnished and the provision of a fridge in the room supplied with... More

This B&B is in a quiet, rural spot in the heart of Northumberland and Border country. It is particularly handy for Ford and Etal castles and the sites relating to the Battle of Flodden. It is run by a very friendly and welcoming couple who go out of their way to make you feel welcome aand at home. The attention... More

I stayed here with some family for 2 nights in June 2012. It is, undoubtedly, the best B+B I have ever been to. The food is world class; the kedgeree is delicious. They are quite flexible, as well. The rooms are beautiful; wonderful, big, spacious rooms. The twins are more like small doubles. The only problem was that the fan... More

Warm welcome and good food at this friendly small hotel in lovely countryside. Good simple cooking and nice touches - fresh milk in fridge, complimentary mineral water every day. Well worth a visit.

We recently visited this lovely B&B as a group of 10, and can highly recommend it to other similar sized parties or lesser numbers. The bedrooms are spacious and clean, communal lounge area a major plus factor and the dining room just right for sitting round a large table over a delicious meal. Leona and Toby really did us proud,... More

What joy to wake to the sound of silence, apart from a passing Blue Tit twittering to his friends whilst gathering his daily breakfast bits and Mrs Robin singing her dawn song. The room in which we stayed overlooked a daffodil strewn orchard, with the backdrop of verdant, rambling hills. We slept soundly in our 'Super King' sized bed, which... More

It's so nice to stay somewhere that has fresh milk in the fridge and home made muesli for breakfast! It starts with home made cakes and tea on arrival and finishes with a fantastic breakfast sourced locally. I can't understand some of the previous comments about the rooms being old fashioned; this only applied to the sliding bathroom door. The... More
