We stayed here for only 1 night with friends. The hotel has been recently renovated all very fresh and clean. Superb location as we were playing golf at Bamburgh GC the following morning. The meal in the restaurant was superb the best we have had for a while... good presentation, well served, plenty choice and so varied and reasonably priced. The... More

Had smaller room than a previous stay, but staff very welcoming and location is excellent. Bamburgh was very busy, so was pleased to be allowed to leave car in car park for extra hour or two after checking out. More

We arrived in Bamburgh on a Sunday and decided to have a late lunch after a walk along the beach. The restaurant was nicely decorated & cosy. The waitress said that they had only been open for 5 weeks. The adult starters and main course from the specials board were pretty good, but the "Sunday roast" was terrible. It looked... More

Having been let down by another local establishment we arrived on Friday evening 20th April at about 8.15pm - a party of 11 looking for a meal. The reception and service we received could not have been bettered. Having aplogised for the fact we would have to wait for 15 minutes - something of a pleasure in the cosy bar,... More

Just returned from our stay in Bamburgh, unfortunately we only had one night at this lovely hotel. Situated perfectly for a walk to the beach or castle. Our room was very nice with everything you needed, ensuite was small but perfectly adequate. The hotel recently refurbished was modern but within in keeping, staff lovely, food good, book a table we... More

We booked on the recommendation of a neighbour, who it transpired had been 23 years ago!! However, we felt as though we'd hit the jackpot. The room was very reasonably priced. The hotel had just finished a refurbishment. The main rooms in the restaurant and bar were lovely and contemporary but cosy. The hotel is minutes away from the castle... More

My wife and I had just walked with our dog along te beach from Seahouses on a hot day in March 2012 (yes - hot in March, 22 deg) when we stopped here for a drink or four. Settled comfortably in the beer garden, we were impressed by the friendly service, good real beers and the food being served to... More

We stayed at the Lord Crewe for a weekend break, away from the stresses of work; the hotel & surrounding area were just what the doctor ordered. The hotel staff are absolutely lovely and seem proud of their product, and rightly so: the breakfasts are among the best we've ever had, the hotel is beautifully decorated, our room (No 1)... More
